I absolutely love going to the state fair.
Every year since I was a baby, my parents took all their kids to the fair. We loved riding everything (although my mom was always freaking out thinking something would break down!), watching the shows, seeing the exhibits, petting the animals and getting our Dippin’ Dots. All of it was the highlight of our trip and we looked forward to it as if it was the best thing to come around town all year! And it was!
Now fast forward a few years and I am part of the adult team that goes. I still love going every year whether it is to ride or watch the kids. But, my favorite part of the trip is no longer the exhibits or rides, but the food.
But my favorite has always been the corn dogs. I love slathering those up with ketchup and eating away. Right across the way from my favorite corn dog stand is a little kid’s basketball game, so I always make the little kids play for a bit so I can enjoy my corn dog in peace. To me, it is the best part of the trip.

Quick Tip: Feel free to add some cheese before dropping the hot dog bite in that cup.
