This Picnic Perfect Salad Is The “Mac” Daddy!

Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, brown sugar, Campbell’s soups, casserole, Chiquita, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, crock pot, Daisy sour cream, dessert, Dole, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, fisher nuts, food, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, Hershey, Hodgkin’s Mill, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, keebler, Kerrygold butter, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, Libby, McCormick spices, Morton salt, Pam Cooking Spray, pasta salad, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, recipe, Ritz crackers, Sara Lee, Sargento, slow cooker, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

You can very easily double the ingredients for this dish and make a nice big bowl of it for your next social event. The fact that there is no mayo or mustard inside is always a big hit with the crowd whenever I take it somewhere. That, and the yummy shrimp that’s scattered about. Everyone loves shrimp! Feel free to alter this in whatever way you like by subtracting any ingredients you don’t think will go over well. It’s one of those very versatile recipes that you can make your own!

You’re going to experience the same results when you make this yummy salad… just wait and see!

 

Ingredients

1 lb bay shrimp, pre-cooked and shelled

16 oz Barilla elbow macaroni or spiral pasta, cooked and cooled (smaller is best)

1/2 green bell pepper, diced

1/2 red bell pepper, diced

1 can(s) can sliced ripe olives, drained (3 7/8 oz

2-3 medium celery ribs, diced finely

1/2 medium walla walla onion, diced (any other sweet onion such as vidalia)

1/4 – 1/2 c parmesan cheese, grated (the kraft flavored is nice in this)

16 oz bernsteins light fantastic cheese fantastico salad dressing, to taste

1.5-2 Tbsp tablespoons salad elegance seasoning mix, to taste (i prefer johnny’s brand)

black pepper, to taste

McCormick’s garlic powder, to taste

GARNISH

egg, hard-boiled and sliced (optional)

green onion, chopped (optional)

grape tomatoes, (optional)

Instructions

Boil noodles as directed on package (around 9-11 minutes); immediately rinse in cold water to stop further cooking.

Prep all veggies and rinse shrimp removing any remaining shells etc that were missed while the pasta boils then rinse and drain pasta so that you begin with a large bowl of cool pasta.

Add the shrimp, veggies, parmesan cheese, and salad dressing. Stir thoroughly, and add seasonings to taste.

If desired, garnish with a sliced hard-boiled egg, grape tomatoes and chopped green onions. Chill for 30 minutes, minimum, for best flavor before serving. Enjoy!
