The version of this green bean casserole that I am going to share with you is healthier than most. It’s a casserole made from scratch; meaning a few canned ingredients have been omitted and replaced by fresh ones. You will not feel guilty serving this to your family because of that fact alone.

That’s actually what I love most about this recipe. Even though it’s mostly made from scratch, it’s still easy to prepare. And it’s tasty too, which is why it’s a hit with the family!

Ingredients

1 (10¾) ounce can Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup

¾ cup Borden milk

½ tsp black pepper

¼ tsp seasoned salt

¼ tsp granulated garlic

Two teaspoons Heinz Worcestershire

2 (14½ ounce) cans green beans, drained OR 2 (9 ounces) pack frozen cut green beans, thawed

Add, 2 cups Kraft shredded cheddar cheese

2 cups French’s French Fried Onions

Instructions

Mix soup, milk, pepper, Worcestershire, seasoned salt, garlic, cheese, and drained green beans.

Spray the casserole dish with a cooking spray

Add the green bean mixture.

Top with 2 cups French’s French Fried onions

Cook at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until bubbly

The green beans will thicken up as they cool.
