My family absolutely loves cookies.  They are always searching the pantry for any cookies I may have hidden or maybe they have not even come across at all.

Sometimes I leave a little box of cookies as a surprise for them to find when they get home from school, or after a long day of soccer practice on the weekends.  It has become something that they look forward to and enjoy.  Honestly, it has become a bit like a game of hide and seek. This little family tradition has taken off and I am always on my toes looking for new cookies to hide from them.

Many times, I used boxed cookies that I buy.  You know, the pre-made kinds.  But every now and then, I like to surprise them with something homemade. Now, I am not always the best baker… I have been known to make some flat and too hard cookies in my lifetime, but I have gotten creative to make homemade without ruining them.

My solution for that has always been one thing: cake mix cookies.  Yep, that is totally a thing and it works wonderfully.  The kids love them and they are incredibly easy for me to make (and not ruin).
