If you do not have that sweet honey roasted all natural peanut butter nearby, do not worry. Give this a try anyway with the peanut butter you do have and add a teaspoon of honey to sweeten it.  It will definitely give you an idea of how delicious this can possibly be!  You will be thrilled (and so will your family) when you see what an amazing batch of brownies you can come up with simply using a peanut butter frosting!

Check out what our friends over at Six Sister’s Stuff had to say about these,

“One of my favorite brownies has the creamiest peanut butter frosting and I knew I had to recreate it at home!  These brownies are so fudgy and the peanut butter frosting puts them over the top!”

I totally agree! These are my new favorite brownies as well.  The fudgy peanut butter topping is simply the best!

Ingredients

Brownies:

1 cup Land O’ Lakes butter, melted

2½ cups Domino sugar

1 Tablespoon McCormick vanilla extract

4 eggs

1½ cups Gold Medal flour

1 cup Hershey’s cocoa

½ teaspoon salt

Peanut butter frosting:

½ cup Land O’ lakes butter, softened

2 Tablespoons Jiffy creamy peanut butter

4 cups Domino powdered sugar

3 Tablespoons McArthur milk

1 teaspoon McCormick vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl, combine butter, sugar and vanilla with a hand mixer until smooth.

Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Stir in flour, cocoa and salt until combined.

Spray a 9×13-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Spread batter in prepared pan.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and peanut butter together until light and fluffy.

Add powdered sugar, milk and vanilla and beat until well combined.

Spread over the top of cooled brownies
