The other day I was enjoying a glass of sweet iced tea on my porch when my neighbor Sally came on over with her little dog. Coco. Coco is a tiny little chihuahua and she has just as much spunk as her “mom” does. As I was petting Coco, Sally and I started talking about one of our favorite topics: food. Sally started telling me about this Swiss steak recipe she made the other day in the slow cooker.

Of course, I needed the recipe because Sally’s description just sounded too good to pass up. Sally lead me to a fabulous website to grab the recipe and now I’m going to share it with all of you. You guys and gals are really going to love this slow cooker Swiss Steak. When you make it, please let me know in the comments below how it turns out 🙂

My husband absolutely loves green beans and ham. I never really heard much ado about this meal in Michigan, where I grew up. Once I moved to Pennsylvania with my husband and children people acted like this dish was gold or something. Well, guess what, sister? it is!

In this recipe we indeed make green beans and ham in the slow cooker but we up the ante and toss in some red potatoes. This really makes the meal amazing! I have been told this is a southern staple but these Pennsylvanians sure do seem to like it and claim it as their own 🙂

Ham is one of the most popular meals around. it’s thick, meaty, and very juicy. Whenever I think of a savory meal ham dinner always comes to mind. One of the best ways to cook a ham is in the trusty old Crock Pot. Wouldn’t you agree? There are many ways to prepare such as brown sugar, pineapple, and rosemary.

However, this recipe calls for apple cider vinegar and it couldn’t make this ham taste any better if it tried. All you do is place your ingredients into the slow cooker and set it and forget it. easy peasy my hammy little friend! You’ll have dinner on the table before you know it and your family will be begging for seconds and thirds of this delicious meal.

Fudge is such an easy treat to make. You might think that it would be a major job if you have never made fudge before but for us veterans who have, fudge is simple stuff, man. Fudge is also extremely versatile as you can flavor it any way that you want and add in candy bits, nuts, and coconut flakes.

I adore this recipe for Snicker’s fudge because it tastes just like the candy bar. No joke! It’s super rich and packed with chocolate, caramel, and peanuts. Yummy!

When I was a little girl I can remember going to my grandma’s house and seeing that she always had a box of butter pecan ice cream sitting in her freezer. I enjoyed this variety of ice cream with her and grandpa, a lot. Most kids would prefer chocolate or vanilla, but not me, i was all about the butter pecan.

As I got older, my love for butter pecan festered and sprung into a full-blown addiction for all things BP. I came across this lovely butter pecan cake recipe and my heart skipped a few beats. It looked delicious and surprisingly, wasn’t to difficult to make. You are really going to like this.

What is chocolatey, tastes great, and made with a vegetable? Zucchini bread! Ever since I’ve been a child I have always doted on my mother’s chocolate zucchini bread. She would always put chocolate chips in it and this small addition made the bread heavenly. it was like eating a piece of cake. My mom’s zucchini bread was always moist, palatable, and delish!

Today, I’m going to show you a recipe for one of the best chocolate zucchini bread recipes around. This recipe calls for DOUBLE the chocolate! Can you believe that? It makes it doubly good. And guess what? Your kids won’t ever know that there is a vegetable in there yummy dessert bread. Score for team mom!
