Check out what my friends at All Recipes had to say about this Puppy Chow:
I had always made this recipe with a stick of butter. I was surprised how tasty it came out with less fat! I did add extra peanut butter to make one cup.
I’ve never used butter, but I can see how that’d make things easier. If you are interested in doing so, it won’t add too much to the flavor as long as it’s unsalted. This is hands down my family’s favorite snack!
Ingredients
9 cups crispy rice cereal squares
1/2 cup JIF peanut butter
1 cup Hershey semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups Domino confectioners’ sugar
Directions
-
In a saucepan over low heat, melt the Hershey chocolate; add JIF peanut butter and mix until smooth.
-
Remove from heat, add cereal and stir until coated.
-
Pour Domino powdered sugar into large plastic bag, add coated cereal and shake until well coated. Store in airtight container.
