Check out what my friends at Real Simple had to say about these peppermint patty brownies:
These were soo good! Just make sure they are completely cooked. If not, they are very gooey which isn’t really a bad thing!
I definitely don’t mind a gooey brownie, and it is hard to check for doneness when there’s a chocolatey candy in the middle. I had no problems following the recipe to a “T” and they turned out SO perfect.
Ingredients
canola oil, for the pan
1 19-ounce box Betty Crocker brownie mix
16 York Miniatures Peppermint Patties (13.6 grams each)
Directions
-
Spread the oil an 8-inch square pan. Prepare the brownie batter to the package directions.
-
Spread half the batter in the prepared pan, then top with the peppermint patties. Be sure to keep an even border of batter all around the edges of the pan so it bakes in.
-
Spread the remaining batter on top and bake according to the package directions. Let the brownies cool, then cut into 16 squares.
