Check out what my friends at Food.com had to say about this Best Banana Pudding:
Delicious! I have made this many times and our whole family loves it! I wouldn’t change a thing. It turns out perfect every time.
I actually didn’t have sweetened condensed milk, so I substituted evaporated milk with half a cup of sugar. It was the best I have had. You owe it to yourself, your family and everyone you know to make and indulge in this great recipe!
Ingredients
1 (5 ounce) package Jell-O vanilla instant pudding mix
2 cups cold TruMoo milk
1 (14 ounce) can Borden sweetened condensed milk
1 tablespoon McCormick vanilla extract
1 (8 ounce) Cool Whip, thawed
1 (11 ounce) box Nabsico vanilla wafers
5 -6 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
Directions
In a large mixing bowl beat together vanilla pudding mix and TruMoo milk for 2-3 minutes until it begins to thicken. Blend in the Borden sweetened condensed milk and mix until smooth. Stir in McCormick vanilla extract and fold in the thawed Cool Whip.
In a 13x9x2 glass dish layer the bottom with vanilla wafers, add a layer of sliced bananas over top of wafers. Pour enough pudding mixture over top of the first layer of wafers and bananas to cover, leaving some pudding for more layers.
Repeat layers of Nabisco wafers, bananas and pudding.
End with a few wafers on top.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator for several hours.

Quick Tip: Feel free to put more Nilla wafers in the pudding if you like, some prefer it this way.

Been making this for years, without the Vanilla. I also add chunks of pineapple. People tell me when they think they’ve had enough then they bite into a chunk of pineapple and want more. I also use the Fat Free Condensed Milk because I hate the sticky sweet taste the regular kind leaves in my mouth and the Fat Free is just as good if not better.
