If You Haven’t Tried Your Chicken Like This, You Ought To!
Growing up, my mother would either make a pot roast or baked chicken for our Sunday meal. I never cared which one she made because they were both delicious. However, my heart secretly belonged to the baked chicken. It was always so filling and good. I can taste it now as I reminisce! Now that I’m all grown up and have my own family, I started making a new version of my mother’s baked chicken. I make more of a casserole out of it; I guess you could say.
I wrap my chicken breasts in bacon, top them with swiss cheese, and smother them in a hearty cream sauce. It turns out perfect every time! This has also been a very easy meal to make on those days when you have to feed a large crowd.
I’m proud to say this chicken has become a major hit at family gatherings, everyone is always waiting for it! And they’ve all wanted to have the recipe!
USE THE RED NEXT PAGE LINK BELOW FOR THE RECIPE AND INGREDIENTS
Quick Tip: Use toothpicks to keep your bacon strips from falling off the chicken breasts.

Here is another good one ……….take 4-6 boneless chicken greast cut into bitesize peices, 1 package Ritzs crackers crushed, 1can cream of chicken soup, 1/2 can milk, 3/4th cup sour cream… mix all together and place in a baking dish……..bake for 30-45 minutes on 350 degrees…………..very good chicken casserole, with green beans, mashed potattoes ans biscuits……yum yum
Do you bake covered or uncovered??
1/2 can of milk ?? is this condensed milk ?
Measure the milk in the soup can, I guess.
It says 1/2 a can of cream soup. Not milk
i believe it says – 1 can of cream soup and then a half can (of the emptied out soup can) of milk.
Reread. 1 can soup, 1/2 can milk. (Use the empty soup can and fill it half way with milk)
No. After you dump out the soup, fill the can half full of soup and then mix that in.
omg read it again…1 can soup, 1/2 can milk
Thank you, will definitely be trying that one. Sounds yummy.
I’m going to try this in my Instapot and cook for 30 minutes–put some cheese on it in a casserole and broil for a few minutes. I think it would be good.
Looks great….
i didn’t have any white wine but had some sake and it turned out awesome thank you for idea
i have done this with ritz crackers or potato chips or nacho chips too, and have used mushroom soup over the chicken , etc . i have also put little carrots and slices of potato on the sides , it’s all very good .
put a little crab in the chicken.
Do you bake the chicken covered or uncovered????
I love to try new recipes, these BOTH look delicious and will be trying them out!!
Thanks from
Dyan!
do you really cook it for 1.5 hours???
What do you substitute in place of wine if you don’t drink? Apple Juice?
You will never know there is wine used, and all the alcohol dissipates, but if you don’t have access to wine at all, then buy some grape juice or non-alcoholic wine, which is usually sold right in the grocery store.
My husband never compliments much of my cooking ever but he said this was award winning chicken!
YUck! so where does all the bacon fat go??? and one thing I loathe is gooey bacon…this bacon can NO way get crispy!
put under the broiler for 5 minutes to crisp.
Like asparagus? line a cookie tin olive oil, pepper, bacon and asparagus. sprinkle asp. generously with olive ( i roll it on a separate plate.) take about 5 spears pepper them good and wrap top to bottom with a strip of bacon.
Line these on lined cookie sheet and in the oven 350 for 15-20 mins. Last few mins turn on broil to crisp up the bacon. Everyone I serve loves this. Enjoy.
If I bake it.I will wrap the bacon around the c
chicken and bake until bacon is done, then follow directions
The recipe calls for 6 boneless breasts.. but the picture shows 10 “bundles”… Are the breasts supposed to be cut up?
Can something else be used instead of white wine?
You could prob use water
Chicken stock
Have to try this
Fab!
Apple juice or non- alcoholic wine would probably work.
This is delicious. My husband, son and I love this recipe.
What could be used in place of wine?
do u have to use wine?
Chicken stock
I loved your post, my name is ronald spinabella and I’m going to share it with my followers on instagram.
Probably not but the taste is wonderful when you use wine. I don’t drink either but I cook with wine. The alcohol cooks out.
Thats an awesome post, my name is ronald a. spinabella and I love seo and digital marketing.
I wish i could write that great of a post, my name is ronald spinabella and I am an seo guru and internet marketer
That’s why you keep repeating your post and trashing what should be comments about the recipe. Very rude.
People need to know that cooking takes the alcohol out of wine, beer, etc. the flavor of white wine is so good.
Can the white wine be replaced with something g else?
Try using chicken broth instead of wine.
This sounds delicious but I would cook my bacon in the microwave a little just to get some of the grease out. Then wrap it around chicken.
I like your idea of cooking the bacon a little in the microwave first – also, I think I would cut a slit in the chicken and insert the cheese before wrapping with bacon.
Cin, try wrapping the chicken with Canadian Bacon. No fat.
Could use Pancetta. Mmmm
I will give this a try with suggested changes.
I imagine you could use chipped beef in place of the bacon if you’re concerned about the bacon fat.
Use chicken broth instead of wine.
IF YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR OWN STYLE OF CHICKEN.. MAKE IT YOUR OWN WAY.
I APPRECIATE TRYING A NEW RECIPE..I COULD NOT BELIEVE ALL THE BACK
AND FORTH COMMENTS…JUST SAYING.
AMEN Carolecoludro!
I appreciate a new recipe i never change it i think it’s rude , for sure this chicken looks yummy lm going to try it.
always try the recipe as is the first time. after tasting it, think about what changes you would prefer. it may not make it “better” necessarily, just make it more to your preferences.
That’s exactly what I do, Deb!
Nice Recipe would not be conseren about the complaining thow half of them probably can’t cook any way . THEIRS always a substitute for everything when cooking and it’s nothing wrong with asking Questions that makes sense.
