On top of everything else, you only need 3 ingredients for these! Just the ribs (I like to use baby back ribs), some seasoning and the barbecue sauce.
I used store-bought BBQ sauce but you could definitely amp up the flavor and choose your favorite seasonings if you use homemade barbecue sauce. We enjoy hot and spicy BBQ sauce, but you could get that same kick by drizzling a little bit of hot sauce on top of these, when they are almost done.
Ingredients
2 racks pork baby back ribs
1 cup barbecue sauce
your favorite seasoning mix
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 225 F.
Season ribs with marinade, your favorite rib rub, grill seasoning, or simply salt and pepper.
Place ribs, meat side down, in baking dishes.
Cover the baking dishes with aluminum foil and place in the oven.
Small baby back ribs: take out after 3.5 hours.
Regular baby back or St. Louis style ribs: take out after 4 hours.
Drain off the drippings. Flip the ribs over so the meat side is up. Be careful, as they may be so tender they fall apart.
Put a layer of BBQ sauce on the ribs and return to the oven uncovered for an additional 20-30 minutes.
Remove from oven and serve them up with a side of potato salad and some baked beans.
