You don’t need to go on a camping trip or even have a bonfire to enjoy s’mores. This can be done inside your home and all you ever need to do is gather the ingredients! Serve this to your friends and I’m sure they will clear out the pan in a few minutes. I love serving these around the campfire if you aren’t into roasting the marshmallows over an open flame. It’s quite a bit safer when you are serving little ones or those who are accident prone, like myself.

Our friend over at Taste of Home has this to say about this recipe:

“One night, my husband had some friends over to play poker and he requested these s’mores bars. They polished off the pan and asked for more! I shared the recipe, and now their families make them, too.”

It was the other way around for me. I wanted s’mores one night and I didn’t want to do the classic thing of roasting the marshmallows over fire and all. My boyfriend had enough of my pouting self after an hour and made me this gooey mess in a pan! This is probably the only mess I will love to have forever!

Ingredients

1/4 cup Land O Lakes butter, cubed

1 package (10 ounces) Kraft large marshmallows

1 package (12 ounces) Golden Grahams

1/3 cup Trader Joe’s milk chocolate chips, melted

Instructions

In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows; cook and stir until blended. Remove from heat. Stir in cereal until coated.

Using a buttered spatula, press evenly into a greased 13×9-in. pan. Drizzle with melted chocolate chips. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Store in an airtight container.

Quick Tip: You can top it with Hershey bars and put it under the broiler for a minute to melt the chocolate.
