I love a good salty and sweet combination.  Think strawberries and chocolate (sweet and tangy) or pretzels and chocolate (sweet and salty) or mint and chocolate.  There is just something so cool to me about the combination of flavors that I absolutely love.  I love popping something in my mouth and getting two different results in textures and flavors.  It is definitely fun.  But of all those flavors, my favorite is peanut butter and banana.

Just this morning, for breakfast I had a slice of honey wheat toast slathered with honey peanut butter and then topped with sliced bananas.  It is the perfect topping to any peanut butter treat.  I love a good peanut butter and banana milkshake.  And I love eating a peanut flavored cereal for breakfast with sliced bananas.  It is just such a good combination! Well, the other day I realized I had never made banana peanut butter cookies so I decided to give it a shot and I was pleasantly surprised.  They are the perfect chewy and sweet cookie with just a little bit of saltiness. It is such a perfect sweet treat to enjoy for breakfast, dessert, or in the afternoon with a warm cup of coffee!
