Let’s kick up that southern cornbread a bit, shall we? True that it stands on its own, but when you add these extra ingredients to include cottage cheese, diced chiles and honey you create something so unbelievably good that you’ll want to stand up and declare independence from the old version. I nearly got up on my chair and said, “I’m really impressed, and I’m not going to take it anymore!” I was afraid that my dog and cat may think I’m crazier than they already do, though.

The rest of my family enjoyed it too, although my daughter was picking out the “little green things” out of hers. She still ate it though, so whatever works! I served it with some real butter and it was the perfect side for our enchiladas. I’d actually like to incorporate this recipe with a tamale casserole! Can you imagine? I think the possibilities are endless.

Cheesecake is undoubtedly the nectar of the Gods. It is light and fluffy and full of goodness in every bite. Combined with carrot cake? Mind blown. I mean, carrot cake traditionally has the cream cheese icing so just stop for a moment and ponder the meeting of these two greats. Cheesecake is like cream cheese only ten million times better, add in the moist carrot cake and you are taking your taste buds on a trip to flavor town. You completely owe it to yourself to put in the little effort and enjoy. Yes, it’s actually quite easy to whip up!

You don’t have to make the trip to Cheesecake Factory to eat a worthy dessert like this. I saw the list of ingredients and thought this may take me all night, but honestly it’s not as time consuming as you think. Just give it a try and you’ll be impressed.

How DO They Make This at Mexican Restaurants?

3 Ingredients my friends! That’s all it takes to have that fluffy and delicious Mexican rice you get with your favorite meal. I love all kinds, but the type you get in these places is magical I swear.

The greater news is that it won’t take you longer than around 15 minutes to make this right in your own cocina! (That’s kitchen for those of you wondering.) That’s honestly less time than it takes to drive to the restaurant, order and receive your meal. So, it stands to reason that it’d be silly to even make the extra effort to go out. The other thing is that you could pretty much use any flavors for this, to change it up or just make it exactly as you and your family like it!

I could personally just have rice, or rice and beans for lunch or dinner. I know not everyone feels that way though. I’ve made this rice as a filler for burritos as well. You’ll find that it’s simple to remember, too; which allows you to just whip it up whenever as the perfect side. This rice goes so perfectly with pretty much anything that you don’t have to pay too much attention to your main dish! This will be the star of the table, anyway!

The addition of bacon to deviled eggs is oddly something I’d never thought of. You’d think bacon and eggs go together like peanut butter and jelly – am I right? So why on earth weren’t these more popular before now? All I know is that I am loving them! I mean, I already loved regular deviled eggs so it was an easy sell. Throw bacon on anything and you make it ten times better, no one can deny that fact. If you’ve never had the pleasure of having them this way then you should definitely and immediately whip up a batch and treat yourself.

I made these for a family picnic and the best part of it was the reaction I got from my great aunt. She said, and I quote, “Oh my word, do those have bacon on them?” Then of course she grabbed a couple and walked away to tell everyone else.

You May Pound The Table With Your Fist This Is So Good! Maybe That’s How It Got Its Name – Either Way It’s Amazing, Moist And Addictive!

Well, have I got a treat for you and yours! This pound cake is phenomenal! It may look plain, but just dig in and see what I am talking about. When you combine real butter and cream cheese you get the most moist, delicious pound cake – EVER!

It stands alone in that you can eat it with nothing else. No whipped topping, no icing, nada! This gorgeous cake doesn’t need any of those. However, I will say that it’d be amazing with anything you can imagine. Since the flavor is neutral you could add whatever your little heart desires and make it to satisfy your personal cravings. I was in the mood for raspberries and hallelujah, it was so delicious. I didn’t even do anything to them I just sliced the pound cake and put fresh berries on top.

I can imagine almost any fruit would be spectacular, or maybe a scoop of your favorite ice cream, or even chocolate drizzle! Whatever it is you decide to serve with this fabulous cake, don’t forget to share it with us! I’m sure all of our readers would love to hear about it.

It doesn’t get any easier than this people! Two main ingredients and a dressing that only includes 5. Plus, you likely have them all on hand. I’m always looking for a fresh and delicious side dish for dinner. Much to the dismay of my children and husband we cannot have baked potatoes or French fries for a side every day. Nor can we have macaroni and cheese every day. I am not exaggerating either. I have to show them there are fresh and flavorful choices that rival their favorites. It’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it!

Usually in the end, they say “wow that was great!” but it takes me some work to get there. Anyway, the results of this are amazing. Who knew such few ingredients could be so flavor filled. You could really use any type of potatoes as well. I didn’t have new potatoes so I used red.
