We grew up in a tiny little town with not a whole lot of businesses or other options when it came to shopping and dining out.

There was a tiny little Italian restaurant that someone had started way before I was born, and that’s where everyone always went when they wanted to go out to eat. It was the only place in town, so I assume that’s how they stayed in business. On a Friday or Saturday night, that place was booming. Now, my parents always thought that we should have jobs from the time we were legally able to work. Like I said, there weren’t many options.

My brother decided that he was going to work at the restaurant as a dishwasher when they had an opening. I’m not sure what made him pick that job, but he did. Eventually, he moved from dishwasher to cook, and that’s where he still is today. One of his most popular dishes is his sweet sausage lasagna.

His recipe is very similar to this one from the web. Whenever they run the special, you can guarantee that they are going to sell out. As soon as word spreads through town it’s on the menu, people are lining up at the door for it.

Quick Tip: Try with a spicy sausage if you would rather have heat than sweet.
