I don’t know about you guys and gals but I’m a real sucker for sweet things. I love desserts, entrees, and side dishes that are packed full of sweet flavor. As far as side dishes go I don’t think you can get any sweeter than sweet potato and pineapple casserole. Some folks like to use yams in this dish. Did you know that yams and sweet potatoes are two different things? I didn’t know that for the longest time. It’s amazing what you can learn by doing a little research.

Anyway, this casserole is different than traditional sweet potato casserole because it contains pineapple. I love pineapple and I love eating it in this yummy side dish. The textures and flavors going on in this casserole are heavenly. You’ve got the rough sweet potatoes, chunky pineapple strands, and creamy butter and marshmallows. Oh my goodness, everyone needs to try this delicious side dish at least once. Another thing that I adore about this recipe is how easy it is to make. There’s really not a lot of hassle that goes into it and it bakes up fresh and tasty in under an hour.

My neighbor Sally is a southern girl through and through. She was born and raised in Louisiana. I am so thankful to have gotten to know her because she is a such a sweet person and she knows how to cook the best southern food on the planet! The other day, Sally taught me how to make her grandmother’s southern corn pudding. We northerners call this “corn casserole”. Anyway, this corn pudding was some of the creamiest corn casserole that I’d ever eaten. Sally made a batch first to show me how it was done.

So, in addition to tasting like a southern dream come true, this corn pudding was super easy to make. With just six ingredients and a few steps, you’ll have a lovely side dish on the table in no time flat. I’m serious, folks, this stuff is good! If you have a holiday or event coming up I highly recommend that you make this yummy pudding. Your friends and family will thank you 🙂

So, the other day, my daughter asked me if she could have a sleepover for her birthday party. I told her that was a great idea and of course, we could do that. so, now begins the meal planning for this girl-birthday event. She is going to be 16 so she and her friends are probably looking to chow down on snacks all night long. I’ve got nachos, hotdogs, and of course, cake, on the agenda. But what else? You know how teenagers are, they eat everything. I searched for appetizers that are quick and easy to make and stumbled upon this awesome recipe for mozzarella and pepperoni crescent rollups. Talk about simple and delicious! I tested them out on my daughter’s brothers the other day and the boys loved the, I better hide them when the party starts or my kids and husband will eat them all LOL

These are super easy and kid friendly! They can be put together and in the oven in literally five minutes! There are seven ingredients and most of us have the spices right in our pantry! – Recipe Lion

Hey, everyone! I hope you are all doing well today. So, I was in the mood for a bit of Tex-Mex food but I didn’t want to make anything heavy. I came across this recipe for texas Cowboy Caviar and thought, “What on earth is that!” I was all prepared to see some sort if weird fish egg junk. Yuck! However, I’m glad I read the recipe because Texas Cowboy Caviar is nothing like real caviar at all! it’s a bean and corn salsa mixed with all sorts of other goodies. This stuff is very easy to make and works well as a light lunch option.

I got the ingredients that I needed and started to whip up this awesome “caviar”. It only took me about 20 minutes to get everything chopped and tossed into the bowl. Most of the stuff I didn’t even need to chop as it was all canned. I guess the longest part was dicing up the avocado and that only took about 5 minutes. So yeah, this recipe is as easy as they come/ I ate this cowboy caviar with corn tortilla chips and it was uh-mazing! You have to try this stuff 🙂

I am super excited about this dessert. You see, I have to go to a potluck supper on Sunday and I haven’t the foggiest idea what to make. I don’t have time to toss together a casserole or side dish so dessert it is. However, which dessert recipe won’t take up to much of my morning? That’s where this Lazy Lady’s Cherry Dump Cake falls into place. Dump cakes ar ethe easiest desserts to make in the entire world. As the name suggests, you literally just dump the ingredients into your baking dish and away you go. I’ve made cherry, blueberry, and pineapple dump cakes before with mega success.

I love the texture of cherry dump cake. The cake mix gets crumbly and buttery. It really does taste very good. The pie filling bubbles up all hot and comforting. Yum! I’m wanting to make that cherry dump cake right now! I’ve known people to make dump cakes using just cans of fruit before, too. I guess if you want a lighter option you could do this but, I mean, it’s cake! Why not go all out , you know? Anyway, this recipe is super easy to follow. Enjoy!
