I first moved into my current home about 5 years ago, I was so excited to get to know the area and neighbors.

There is nothing like moving into a new house to make your life feel renewed. You have so much around you to explore and discover. I love getting to know a new area and finding new stores and or new parks to take the kids to. I have to admit that I really love to meet new people as well!

After a couple of days living in the new house I got a knock on the door one afternoon. It was a lady that introduced herself as Judy and said she lived three houses down. It did not take me long to see how quirky Judy was! She was so much fun and loved to cook! I love to cook as well. We got along instantly. We started talking about the different foods that we loved to make.

It was no surprise to me that Judy loved to make foods that matched her quirky personality. The next day she brought over a pie, which said was grasshopper pie. I must have made an uneasy look because she quickly responded telling me that there is no actual grasshoppers in the pie! Whew! I was not about to eat any of that.

The grasshopper pie was full of minty and oreo goodness. I had to make this pie myself and I did! I got some strange looks when I say the name, but everyone loves to try it!
