I love how a classic bake that was once laden with fat and calories can be turned into a deliciously healthy meal. You’re gonna want to write this one down! This is one of the meals that you do not want to soon forget. I have a little recipe box filled with vintage cards that once belonged to my mother. I wrote this recipe down and placed it in the box. That’s where I keep all of my favorite recipes. Do you have a special way of keeping track of those recipes that you hold near and dear to your heart?
I certainly did not regret making this delicious casserole and my family loved it, too! I don’t think my husband and kids even realized that it was made with good-for-you ingredients.
Ingredients
2 cups of cooked Tyson chicken cut into chunks.
2 cups of diced ham.
1 box of Stovetop stuffing mix.
1 cup of Kraft shredded swiss cheese.
¼ cup of reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese.
1 cup of nonfat TruMoo milk.
1 can Campbell’s Low-Sodium cream of chicken soup.
1 tsp of Morton salt.
1 tsp of pepper.
Instructions:
First, prepare the stuffing mix according to the package instructions.
Mix together the soup and milk in a mixing bowl.
In a sprayed casserole dish, layer the chopped chicken and season with salt and pepper. Top with ham and swiss cheese.
Pour the soup over the chicken and top with the stuffing mix.
Top with cheddar cheese.
In a preheated oven to 350° bake covered with foil for 35 to 40 minutes, at 25 minutes of baking, remove the foil and bake until the cheese is melted.
