I am a sucker for chocolate cake. How about you? I bet you are! Anyway, I’m always looking for new ways to improve upon my chocolate cake recipes and when I came across this recipe it totally was not what I had expected. The secret ingredient in this chocolate cake is…are you ready for this….is….SAUERKRAUT! Can you believe that?
When I first saw that the secret ingredient was sauerkraut I almost flipped my lid. How could that stinky, fermented vegetable possibly be good in a chocolate cake? Well, folks, it is good and I have no idea why. One thing is for sure, though, I am super glad that i decided to leave my comfort zone and give this recipe a try and you will too!
