Hello, everyone! So as you very well know, the holidays are quickly creeping up on us. Today, as I write this post, it has dawned on me that it is actually Halloween. Now, my town had trick-or-treating over the weekend so that is is why I forgot. It doesn’t feel like Halloween because it felt like Halloween on Saturday. Get my drift? Anyway, my point is, is that Thanksgiving will soon be here followed by Christmas. Wowser!

I’m already planning my holiday menus because that’s what any good woman does when she knows she will be feeding a crowd the size of a small island. When i saw this recipe for glazed ham i gasped at how easy it was to make. The ham is already fully cooked so all you need to do is glaze it and heat it. easy peasy, right? Right! If you have a large roaster that you can sit on the counter I’d suggest using it so that your oven can remain freed up for holiday side dishes.

Orange vanilla monkey bread is one of my all-time favorite desserts to make and I know my family sure does love it too! If you are already a fan of monkey bread you are going to be a mega fan of this lemon vanilla version. The flavor combinations are just simply divine. I can’t get enough of this bread, y’all. And guess what? This bread isn’t hard to make at all!

The other day I went to a ladies breakfast at the church and I needed to bring a dish to pass so this is what I brought. Typically, I bring a breakfast casserole but I wanted to change things up a bit. You know, I wanted to keep those church ladies guessing and give them a little surprise lol. My vanilla orange monkey bread went over perfectly.

I really like pasta dishes. Like for realz, y’all. For one, pasta dishes are typically really easy to whip up and this one is the ultimate of ease. It takes less than 30 minutes to make and before you know it you have a savory and wholesome meal on the table waiting and ready to fill the hungry bellies of your family. My husband and kids love this dish and I usually serve it with a tossed salad and bread.

Do you enjoy dousing your food in Parmesan cheese? I sure do! You’ll find a mound of parm on my pasta. In fact, my pasta usually looks like a winter blizzard swept over it if that gives you any idea as to how much parmesan cheese I dust over it. Believe it or not, I don’t prefer the freshly shredded parm cheese but the grated stuff that comes in the green can. It’s just so ding dang good1

I love little slider sandwiches, don’t you? Thye are eays to make and they taste incredible. Plus, you get to personalize them by adding your favorite cheese or sauces or a combination of both to your slider. I personally prefer American cheese with spicy Deli mustard. Yum! This recipe is amazing because it serves 16 people so basically if you had a crowd of 8 ready to eat at your home that means everyone gets to have two. However, you might want to double or even triple this recipe when you are serving these sliders to big eaters. after all, these sliders are small and probably equivalent to like 1 whole burger, right?

Variations: * Brush a little BBQ sauce on the chicken before laying on the slice of cheese and the bacon.

Tis the season for baking up yummy goodies such as cakes, cookies, and pies. Today’s recipe is for a cool and crisp chocolate peppermint patty cake. Now, this cake is perfect for Christmas because of its peppermint essence. i don’t know, I could eat this cake on a hot summer day, too just to cool off. Anyway, this recipe is very easy to follow and you’ll be amazed by the results.

One thing that I like to do when making this cake is to serve it with peppermint stick ice cream or the seasonal favorite “Candy Cane.” It just gives the cool factor of the cake and added push. My whole family loves this cake and my littlest cake eater loves to pull off the peppermint patties from everyone’s slices and hoard them to eat later. Kid is gonna have to wrestle me for mine 🙂

Drop biscuits and gravy are one of the meals that gets a big ‘ol “Amen” from me and my family. I mean, seriously, is there really any comfort food better than this? Granted, baked mac and cheese comes in a close second but it doesn’t quite compare with homemade sausage gravy and buttermilk biscuits. Now, you do have to show some level of restraint with this dish because if you eat it too often you’ll need to invest in a mumu.

Growing up in the north, we didn’t have sausage gravy and biscuits as often as our southern brothers and sisters. As you all well know, this recipe is a more southern-esqe meal. However, the folks in the north should really catch on to this because biscuits and gravy are amazing. I like tos erve mine with scrambled eggs and spoon some of the gravy over the eggs, themselves. Talk about a yummy entree!

Beef and cheese sandwiches are uh0mazing, guys and gals. I grew up in a small, rural farming community in the Thumb of Michigan where you had to travel at least an hour to get to any good restaurants or shopping centers. So, getting to go to Arby’s was a real treat because you had to drive so far to get there and it was usually a journey that was only made about once a month. I always ordered the hot beef and cheese sandwich. Yum!

Well, guess what? I have discovered how to replicate these famous little sandwiches and they couldn’t be better! My friends over at The Pioneer Woman have come up with one of the best beef and cheddar sandwich recipes I’ve ever seen and they are super simple to make. The ingredients you’ll be using are easy to come by and won’t break your bank account, either!
