This dish would also be absolutely perfect for those special occasions when you need to feed a large crowd. It’s very simple to double the ingredients – or maybe even triple them and bake this in 2 separate pans!

No-one will be able to resist the leftovers, since they’ll make an even tastier lunch the next day. This recipe has been a great hit over at Adventures of a Shrinking Princess – let’s take a look at what the readers have had to say about this Zesty Ranch Bake:

My family loves this dish! I will be making it again soon, it’s on our regular rotation. Thanks so much!

My family loves it too, and I am so glad I found such a simple meal that satisfied everyone. I actually used white ground turkey because we prefer that over the other but some like the more tender taste of lean versions. Whatever you choose, I promise the flavors of this dish are more than delicious.

Ingredients

1.5 lb lean ground turkey (or lean ground Beef)

1 cup Hunts diced tomatoes

1 cup Bertolli no sugar tomato sauce

1 cup Quinoa or Brown Rice (I used Brown Rice)

1 Cup Kraft shredded cheese of your choice

1 tsp fresh parsley

1 tsp dried dill

1/2 tsp McCormick garlic powder

1/2 tsp McCormick onion powder

1/4 tsp sea salt

pepper to taste

Directions

Preheat oven to 350

Brown ground turkey

Cook Quinoa or brown rice on stove top

Once meat is cooked through, add diced tomatoes and sauce

Combine all seasonings to meat and sauce.

Add  rice or Quinoa in with the mixture.

Once mixed together , spread evenly through a 9X13 pan

Top with Kraft shredded cheese

Cook for 15-20 minutes!

I don’t think it’s difficult to skip all the reading n just write the recipe, 2 clicks on the mouse is not a difficult task for a good recipe. 🙂

Does this recipe have Ranch in it? I don’t find it in the ingredients but it’s called Zesty Ranch Bake?

Parsley, Dill, Garlic powder, Onion powder, Sea salt & Pepper are the seasonings used in Ranch Dressing. ~C.

Sounds yummy! I think I might add a little onion to this…just because I like onion and ground beef.

You tap on “Next Page” in red to see recipe.
No there is no “Ranch” dressing in the recipe.
It is made from ground turkey not ground beef.

    • Lillian September 19, 2017 at 12:07 pm Reply

The seasonings used in this recipe are also used to make ranch dressing.

    • heather ruetten September 23, 2017 at 4:46 am Reply

It says ground beef in parentheis next to ground turkey.

  5. Georgia Freeman September 13, 2017 at 5:06 am Reply

Can you use ground beef? I don’t like ground turkey.

    • Lillian September 17, 2017 at 1:53 am Reply

I would say use the ground beef, or ground pork, which I prefer. It comes down to the preference of each person. It can’t hurt to try.

    • Docj September 25, 2017 at 12:36 am Reply

Why do you ask for permission to use something else? Just do it – you aren’t going to kill anyone by substituting beef for turkey.

It is kind of shitty to make us down load an app to see an recipe. It doesnt say you have to down load it when they get your attention in the beginning. forget it I’ll make my own

    • jessicafaidley September 14, 2017 at 2:43 pm Reply

I agree, Malu. That would be sh*tty of us to do. Thankfully, we don’t make you download any app to view our recipes. You must be clicking on an ad.

All I did was click on Next Page and the recipe is there. If you are having a lot of trouble with a lot of ads, AdBlockPlus does away with them. Been using it for years.

Hi. I can’t wait to try this. We use lots of ground turkey. I’d like your opinion on using an envelope of dry ranch dressing in this. Thanks so much.
