I don’t know about you guys, but I am a sucker for chips and dip. I love eating them as a snack, with a sandwich at lunchtime, while watching TV, etc. Now, before you think I’m this major chip-eating-couch-potato, I’ll have you know that I enjoy my potato crisps and dip in moderation 🙂 I love experimenting with making foods that most people commonly purchase at the grocery store. When I found this recipe for homemade potato chips, I was pretty excited. It isn’t overly complex, and it’s versatile. I can season these chips up anyway that I fancy.
Another great thing about these potato chips is how easy they are to make. My children helped me slice and fry these potatoes without incident. it was a learning experience for all of us. It was hard to keep the basket full of the chips as we kept “taste testing” them after they came out of the oven. Oh well, as the great Chef Gordon Ramsey says, “You are an idiot if you don’t taste your own food!”

Quick Tip: Since you’re making your own potato chips, why not make your own dip? Add French onion soup mix to sour cream for a savory dipper!
