Every year, my family has a cookout/BBQ on Memorial Day and Fourth of July.  We try new recipes and create others, depending on what we really want to enjoy that day.  This year, my mom asked me to make BBQ pulled pork sandwiches and with some photo inspiration, I was able to curate a delicious recipe for this occasion.

Everyone in my family absolutely loved these sandwiches, from the oldest to the youngest.  Even the pickier eaters enjoyed the sandwiches, so these are now permanently on our patriotic celebrations menu.  This upcoming July 4th we will be having them, and now you can have them too and impress all of your family!

There’s nothing like freshly-cooked, crispy orange chicken on a bed of rice or noodles! I like brown rice as opposed to white rice. Rice noodles are good in Asian-inspired dishes, too.

New Year’s Eve is one of the busiest times for Chinese Restaurants and ordering Chinese Takeout. With recipes like this, you can toss that menu and make your own like a master in your kitchen.

My friends at Crafting Morning say:

“It was DELICIOUS the day I made it! The chicken was so juicy, I served it over white jasmine rice with some roasted broccoli, my husband and I loved it. I didn’t use all the sauce as a little went a long way and it did take quite a while to fry all the chicken pieces but it was well worth it!!”

Quick Tip: Serve your orange chicken over brown, white rice, quinoa or any other of your favorite grains. Or eat it all on its own.

3 ingredients, Argo cornstarch, asian, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, BBQ sauce, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, brown sugar, Chinese, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, Crispy Chicken, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, Hershey, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, McCormick spices, Morton salt, orange chicken sauce, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, recipe, Sargento, Smucker's orange marmalade, sugar-free, Sweet Baby Ray's, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

Chinese food is one of my favorite things to eat. I absolutely love it! However, I don’t love the price of taking 5 people to the local buffet as it can get kind of pricey. So, what should I do? Why, make my own Asian-inspired feast right from my kitchen, of course!

I was so excited to come across this recipe for the 3-ingredient orange chicken sauce. If you don’t have a great sauce, your whole Chinese meal can go right down the tubes. This sauce is so good and very easy to make.

Quick Tip: To make the sauce less sugary, opt to use sugar-free marmalade.

If you enjoy the flavor of good barbecue but don’t feel like firing up the grill (or if it’s a bit outside of grilling season in your part of the world), your slow cooker is a good tool for re-creating that great BBQ flavor indoors. This Slow Cooker Barbecue Chicken is really savory and tender and is low-hassle enough for a regular family meal but works well for most any gathering.

The weather has been turning cooler here, and my old grill has finally beat the dust, so alas, I am done with outdoor cooking until next year, it seems. But I had a hankering for some barbecue, so I gave this barbecue chicken recipe a try. I have to say, the chicken came out nice and moist, and I thought that the spice blend was excellent.
