I love s’mores. My gosh, ever since I was a little girl, I loved going to my uncle’s house because he had an amazing fire pit that we would take turns making s’mores at. I loved getting graham crackers, placing a perfectly toasted marshmallow on it and then letting a chunk of chocolate melt when I placed it atop and squished it together into a sandwich. It is just the perfect treat to end any fun night.

Now, I also love Nutella. I absolutely love the nutty taste with the chocolate that is truly unlike any other flavor I have ever tried in my life. I have made homemade crepes, cookies and even eaten my cereal with some Nutella. Dunk some Nutella in hot milk and you have got yourself an amazing hot chocolate! One day I wondered what would happen if I mixed these two of my favorite flavors and got one amazing dessert? Well, I was not far from the truth. When I mixed these two, I found an amazing dessert that is unlike any other. The flavors of both are strong and I love this, no matter what day it is or how stressed I am. I always find time to make this.

Last summer I had a true addiction to smores.  It wasn’t enough to make them in our backyard using the fire pit, no…. I had to seek out and find the BEST smores –based recipes around.  I made smores everything, smores pie, smores cheesecake.  My family was excited about my newfound obsession though, it meant we got to try tons of delicious recipes on a weekly basis throughout the summer.  The BEST recipe I found though, was this one for S’mores Lasagna!

The word s’mores comes from “some more”.  It’s believed that Boy and Girl Scouts coined the term s’mores, but it’s hard to say exactly.  Rumor has it that there was a graham cracker sandwich called “Some More” in a recipe book.  A couple decades later, a similar recipe was published called in “S’Mores”.  No matter how the name came to be, it’s still one of America’s favorite campfire treats.

Quick Tip – If you don’t have a kitchen torch to toast the marshmallows, you can use a long lighter.

campfire treat, dessert, domino sugar, fudge bar, ghirardelli chocolate chips, graham cracker crumbs, honey maid, Honey maid graham crackers, kraft fluff, kraft marshmallow fluff, Land O Lakes, land o lakes butter, Nestle chocolate chips, s'more fudge bars, Smores, solo marshmallow creme

If you think back to your childhood, s’mores must have made an appearance at least a handful of times. You can remember those backyard campfires roasting marshmallows on a stick and making this deliciously evil dessert.

S’mores are popular, there is no denying that! This s’mores fudge bar recipe turns that campfire delight into an easy one-pan dessert that you can enjoy at your convenience. Who says growing up needs to be boring?! This recipe calls for a homemade fluff layer, but you can feel free to cut corners and use a jar of Kraft marshmallow fluff just as well. You’ll moan in delight at first bite!

I used to be a girl scout! It was a fun hobby, and very educational as well. We always had the best time camping in the forest and telling ghost stories until we were all so scared we couldn’t sleep all night!

Instead, we made a lovely fire and started roasting our favorite treat; s’mores. How is it that everything tastes even better when you’re outside? I could have eaten a dozen s’mores at once (in fact, I probably did, which might be why I wasn’t sleeping much. I think it was all that sugar that kept me awake!

Who doesn’t like a wonderful mash-up of two favorites? Between moist chocolate, and fluffy melting marshmallow, you can barely eat just one. A perfect marriage between a brownie and a s’more, what more could you ask for? This recipe yields 12, 2-inch squares, but I doubt they’ll stay on the plate for long.

And since you don’t have to start a fire to make these, you can now enjoy the classic flavor any time of year – and any place where you have an oven!
