I don’t know about you guys and gals, but I love cooking and baking with spirits. No, no, not the ghoulish kind! What do you think I am, so sort of weirdo? LOL! Don’t answer that. Anyhoo, I’m referring to cooking with whiskey, rum, and other alcoholic beverages. Today, we are making pumpkin cake with whiskey whipped cream and it is so good! That dang whiskey gives this cake a much-needed shove into the land of excitement.
We’ve all had pumpkin cake before but wait until you try it with whiskey in the mix. Oh. My. Heaven. It is like a little slice of paradise on your plate. The flavor of the whiskey intermingles with the cake and whipped topping creating a bold and flavorful experience for your taste buds. My neighbor Sally said that she felt compelled to hide the cake so she wouldn’t eat it all herself! Haha, good old Sally.
