So Tender, You May Not Need a Knife

Who is sick and tired of working like a dog all day and not having a satisfying meal to come home to? Fortunately, that is not the case for me and my family as I am a stay at home mother and can usually whip together a hot and hearty meal in two shakes of a lamb’s tail. However, I too, still have those busy days where having an easy meal to prepare is sincerely welcome. Anyway, you will all LOVE this Bavarian Working Girl pork roast. Get your minds out of the gutter, I don’t mean that kind of working girl LOL

So, this German-inspired pork roast is cooked to a tender perfection in your slow cooker. You simply start the roast in the morning and by the time you get home in the evening it is ready to eat!

Just imagine walking into your house after a long day of work and smelling this pork roast cooking. Heavenly! I like to serve this pork roast with mashed potatoes and a side of sauerkraut. Enjoy!

What would you serve with this mouth-watering pork?

My nephew graduated from high school last spring. It was an exciting, yet terrifying day for me. I was proud of my sister’s oldest son, but that meant that my boy was going to be graduating the following year, as he was only one birthday behind him. We all went and had a spectacular time celebrating the event. It was nice to catch up with everyone and to talk to my first nephew about what his plans were for the future. He decided that he was going to join the military and do a few years there before going to college. That sounded like a fine plan to me. He was sure of himself, so I was standing behind him.

When it came time to eat, I saw that my sister and few of her husband’s sisters had prepared the entire meal themselves. That was impressive. I didn’t even bring a dish to pass, but she never said anything so I didn’t feel too bad about it. The main entree was a BBQ pork sandwich.

I asked my sis about where she got it from, and she said that it was her husband’s mom’s recipe from many years ago. It was fantastic! The meat was so juicy and tender, I went back for a second helping!

Better Than Your Mother’s – And Your Grandma’s!

Let me tell ya, I’ve seen a lot of weird recipe ingredients. I mean, really weird. But this is the first time I came across a recipe that uses Pepsi for pork roast!

It sounded so strange that I had to take a closer look. I have no idea what it is about Pepsi that makes the pork taste so delicious. Friends, this pork roast is so close to perfection, I can’t even describe it. The best part is, this is a slow cooker recipe! You literally just dump all the ingredients into your slow cooker and let it work its magic. When you check back after a few hours, you’ll have a delicious dinner waiting for you!

This is one of those recipes that turn out so amazing, you could serve this for a very special occasion. However, you’re going to love this so much that it will probably become your favorite weeknight dinner! I just made this last week and I’m already planning on making it again!

In today’s fast paced lifestyle, we usually need easy-to-cook meals. But there are times when we can actually do more when we do not rush with our tasks. Crockpot is the perfect solution to such a predicament because we are given ample time to finish our tasks while our meal is cooking slowly in peace.

I have a friend who fell in love with crockpot recipes because of her lifestyle. She loves it so much that they’re all that she cooks. I remember her showing me a notebook with several crockpot recipes; recipes she was able to experiment on. She’s a single mom to the cutest 3-year-old boy and works two jobs. But while both of her jobs are online, they always require her full attention. I guess crockpots really are perfect for her. She was able to manage her tasks better in between cooking more than when she was rushing with food preparation.
