Bet You’ve Never Tried Pork Chops This Way Before!

I love making casseroles with ingredients that you normally wouldn’t make a casserole with. However, this isn’t your ordinary casserole. In fact, some of you might even say it’s not a casserole at all. I think it’s a casserole but that’s just me. I found this over at Savory Moments and I thought it looked absolutely delightful. So, I just had to give it a go. And I’m so glad I did!

This is the perfect way to make pork chops when you want exceptionally delicious flavor. It is a very easy one pot meal and you can double the ingredients if you’re making this for more than two people. Sauerkraut is the perfect match for those juicy pork chops – to switch things up a little you could use sausage instead of chops!

I like to serve this casserole with a dollop of sour cream and some homemade dinner rolls. It makes the perfect, comforting meal on a cold fall or winter night! Be careful when making this, though – the wonderful aromas might bring the neighbors at your door!

Some People Live All Their Lives Without Knowing How To Make Pork Chops Right!

My mother-in-law makes the most incredible pork chops on the planet. Or that’s what I thought, until I tried this recipe! I didn’t think much of this, when I first saw the ingredients. Surely, it can’t be extraordinary when you only have 5 ingredients, right? I can tell you now that I was sooo wrong!

These breaded pork chops are incredibly juicy, but they still have that awesome crunch on top. Would you believe these are not fried? I almost couldn’t believe it myself! These are, indeed, baked in the oven, which makes these healthier than your usual, fried pork chops.

You’ll be amazed by how effortless these are to put together. It will literally only take you minutes to prepare these, and then you can let your oven do the rest. Flip the pork chops over, about half way through baking, and you’ll get that wonderfully browned, crispy crust on both sides. A weeknight meal doesn’t get any better than this – although these are delicious enough for any occasion!

Hold on to your hats because this recipe for oven-baked pork chops is somethin’ else!

No need to get all your pots and pans out for this incredible meal – these chops will be ready in no time, and you won’t have to stand by the stove to wait for it.

I used to think it takes a huge amount of work to make outstanding pork chops, and that’s why I hardly ever made them. Occasionally my husband made pork chops on the grill and they were really tasty, but I was craving for the breaded ones I had enjoyed as a kid. I finally decided to call my mother and ask for her recipe (that goes way back, by the way) and I was surprised how easy it actually was! Not a lot of hassle at all, and no fancy ingredients.

This is a very simple, easy-to-make recipe. I’ve made these so many times over the past few months and my family is completely nuts about these. I have been stocking up on pork chops whenever they’re on sale, because I know this is a meal I can whip up anytime and it will always be a success!

I Though I Had The Best Pork Chop Recipe – But Then I Tried THIS Method

I love a good cut of meat. You know, something that is thick, rich, perfectly cooked and hearty.

When that is the case, I usually end up with something so juicy, I want to make it every day. Well, so is the case with this brown sugar pork chop! I know, I know. It sounds a little bit strange to season this with brown sugar instead of salt and other seasonings, but I am telling you, if you give it a try, you’re going to fall in love with it and decide you will always make it this way. I know I have. I discovered this long ago when I was searching for a good recipe to make for a special dinner.

It was right after I had gotten married and I wanted to make a meal for my in-laws that would be memorable in every way; taste and presentation.  I knew I had to find the perfect one.

Well, after much searching, I found these brown sugar coated pork chops and knew I had to give them a try.  They seemed to be the perfect balance of sweet and salty to go over a dollop of whipped potatoes, so I gave it a try and it was a hit!

My husband hasn’t been a big fan of pork chops. I think it has to do with the fact that his mother used to make them so often when he was a kid. Whenever I suggest pork chops for dinner, he gets this weird look on his face. And then he says he wants to cook a surprise dinner, instead. Haha! Well, I can’t really blame him. My mother-in-law is a great cook, but perhaps pork chops once a week is a bit too often!

The other night, however, I found this really tasty-looking pork chop recipe and I just had to try it. My husband was still at work so he didn’t have a say in it! I prepared everything (which is, by the way, a breeze with this dish) and waited until he got home. I poured him a glass of wine and told him we were going to have a special meal. His jaw dropped when I served the pork chops, but as soon as he took his first bite, he said these were going on our dinner routine!

This Dish Is Husband-Approved And Kid-Friendly!

When I was a kid, we had pork chops almost once a week. They were inexpensive, simple, and easy to cook for a larger crowd since there were so many of us. Not to mention it was my Dad’s favorite dish! My Mom used to always cook pork chops in a cast iron skillet on the stove top. Then she used the drippings to make a delicious gravy. I really loved the dish, too, but now that I’ve tried this one I must say this is probably even better!

These pork chops are possibly the most delicious ones I’ve ever tried. The best part is, you only quickly cook them on both sides in the skillet, and the oven will do the rest for you. They turn out really moist and tasty, and they don’t even necessarily need gravy to go with them. My favorite way of serving these is with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables!

It’s The Cheesy, Easy Style Of The Classic Baked Pork Chops

Most of us have tried it—reinvent pork chop breadings to give those juicy pieces of meat a new flavor. What have you tried so far? In my case, I’ve tried the classic flour-egg-bread crumbs. I use Japanese bread crumbs because they give the chops the crunchy taste without the saltiness. I also tried the flour-egg-crushed crackers combination. Those tasteless crackers that we pair with cheese and wine? I put a few pieces in a ziplock bag and crush them. I also tried the flour-egg-flour. I saw this in one of the video recipes on a social media site and tried it too: the flour-egg-crushed Cheetos combination. The last one was the flour-egg-graham crackers combination. This one didn’t taste so good, at least for me. The texture of the crushed graham crackers was too soft; and the semi-sweet taste of it just didn’t taste well with my pork chops.

For some reason, I never thought of using cheese crackers for breading even though I actually love cheese. So when I encountered this recipe from Mr. Food while I was searching for other breading recipes that cater to my taste, there was a “light bulb” moment—why didn’t I think of that?
