It has a gourmet name and flavor to match, but this version of an Italian-American classic can be on your dinner table with fairly little prep, no hassling over the stove, and surprisingly little cleanup afterwards. This Slow-Cooker Chicken Marsala also includes noodles in the recipe, making this a true one-pot meal.
I love those dishes with fancy names and delicious tastes that are easy to cook at home. I also love cooking with wine. For one thing, adding the right wine to your choice of meat is a really quick way to add depth of flavor to a dish without having to drag out every fresh herb and spice under the sun. It’s nice to be able to scale down the ingredients list (and required technical skill) a bit, sometimes. Making a dish with wine also gives me an excuse to have a glass or two of it (whatever is left after I reserve the required amount for the recipe, haha) while cooking–or, in this case, while waiting for the Crock-Pot to work its magic.
