When I first heard of paella, I asked Mom if she could make one. For the first time, she said she couldn’t. It was one of her regrets—not learning the recipe from Grandma. She said that Grandma made the best paella, which she learned from my Grandpa’s mother. My Great grandfather was pure Spanish so his wife made sure she was able to cook a version of his favorite home dish. However, Spanish cuisine didn’t have a big influence in our household so we rarely ever got to try Spanish dishes. Paella was just like a fairytale for me until we finally ate at this Spanish restaurant and my parents ordered a small pan. Unfortunately, I didn’t like it. It had a lot of taste going on in one single dish and they were fighting inside my mouth for dominance. It was overwhelming.

I have long since tried to find a version that would cater to my taste because Mom had kept insisting that I would love it if it was my Grandma’s paella that I tasted first. With her words ringing in my ears, I was patient. After days of scouring for the right recipe, this one emerged. I’m pretty quite sure this was the closest I could get to my Grandma’s mystery paella.

I am a HUGE fan of any kind of cobbler. Apple, cherry, peach; you name it, and I’ll eat it. However, much to my amazement, I had no idea that cobblers could also be made with savory ingredients like chicken, veggies, and gravy. When I came across this recipe, it kind of blew my hair back a bit.

Who would have thought that my dream of eating cobbler for dinner would ever come true? After all, mama always said that dessert came after you cleaned your plate, right? Well, mama will be pleased to know that this chicken cobbler is the main course of my meal! Guys, I’m really excited about this one, and you should be too!

casserole. tuna noodle, dinner, French's french fried onions, Green Giant frozen peas, Kraft grated parmesan cheese, land o lakes butter, McCormick garlic powder, No Yolks egg noodles, Pennsylvania Dutch sliced mushrooms, Philadelphia cream cheese spread, recipe, Ritz crackers, Starkist chunk light tuna, traditional, TruMoo milk

Tuna noodle casserole is a traditional family favorite. Everyone who eats it usually agrees that it’s a great tasting dish that’s bursting with flavor. Shoot, my family eats it and my kids don’t even like tuna! Between the noodle and the creamy sauce, most of the fishy taste is masked. This casserole looks good on any dinner plate and even better in your belly.

There are a few ways to prepare this hearty dinner dish but we prefer the trusty traditional method. Using nourishing ingredients like whole milk, egg noodles, and butter will never let you down. When it’s tuna noodle casserole night nobody leaves the table hungry.
