The Famous Deep Skillet Pizza, Made Right In Your Home Kitchen!

There is this famous pizza place that offers the most delicious Chicago-style deep dish pizza that I am so addicted to. Whenever I need to meet with a project partner or with a client, I make sure to pass by this pizza place so I can order two slices for me and the boyfriend. They serve the pizza per slice, which is actually most ideal because if you are not buying for a group, there’s just no way that you can finish one whole pie if there are just two of you.

With the thickness of each slice along with the richness of the ingredients which will immediately make you feel full, you wouldn’t want another slice after the first.

I had been thinking about trying to make this at home but I was a little hesitant, to say the least. I didn’t know if it would be possible to make that awesome crust in my home oven. But it wasn’t as scary or difficult as I thought!

Sure, there is a bit of a waiting time because you need to wait for the dough to rise, but that’s all! The other steps are just easy breezy and you wouldn’t be hassled.

The good thing about this too is that you can add or omit the ingredients you want or you do not want. It’s a pretty versatile recipe that is perfect for a large group of people. Have you a small party to host? Then this is perfect!

The Fastest Disappearing Side Dish You’ll Ever See!

Don’t you just hate throwing food to waste? I really do. I grew up watching my grandmother make use of every ingredient she had on hand, whether it was leftovers or something from her backyard garden. She never threw anything away, unless for some strange reason she had missed something and it had gone bad already. Even then, she always shook her head, as if she thought she should have been more careful.

I understand why she did this; she lived through some hard times when she was young, when money was tight and they didn’t always know if they’d have anything to eat the next day. Even when she got older and could have bought all the food she could eat, she never changed her ways.

Which was also a great thing for the environment, you know! There’s all this talk about food going to waste and how we should pay attention to what and how we are consuming. That’s why I love recipes like this vegetable fried rice from The Woks Of Life! That leftover rice in your fridge? It’s perfect for this, and you don’t have to throw anything away!

This soup never lets me down!

You know that dreadful moment when you’re trying to find an outfit for your friend’s wedding, and you suddenly realize none of your clothes fit anymore?

I am pretty sure there’s a mysterious creature living in my closet and it’s replacing all my dresses with the same ones, only two sizes smaller. How else would you explain it that the dress I was wearing in February, is now impossible to zip? Surely it has nothing to do with all the summer BBQ’s and daily ice cream cones.

Until I either catch that creature, or win the lottery so that I can replace all my clothes with new ones, I’ve found a brilliant way to ease into those dresses and skirts I would like to wear. I don’t like diets; I just don’t have the patience, but occasionally I feel the need to shed a couple of pounds. That’s when I start eating a bit healthier and adding some exercise into my days.

As most of us probably know, it can be a lengthy process. So I’ve come up with a way to jumpstart it! I eat this super tasty cabbage soup for a few days and it makes me feel lighter immediately.

You’ll Whip This Up With One Arm Tied Behind Your Back!

When my husband and I first got married and moved in together, it was quite the adventure. We both had lived at home up until that point, so everything was very new to us as far as owning your own home goes. I had picked up the cooking, cleaning, and bill paying watching my mom. He had learned some of the essential handy work, car repairs, and electrical fixing. Together, we made a pretty good team.

When we went grocery shopping, we were always amazed by all the foods there was to choose from. We were used to just getting whatever our parents had brought home.

One of our favorite things to make were those boxes of rice or pasta that you just had to add meat too. It was the perfect amount to fill us up. Sometimes we would even have a few leftovers that were always tasty the next day. Then, we started having kids and that small box of pasta was never enough to feed us all anymore.

Fortunately I got this super tasty recipe from my sister! It’s hassle-free and easy on your wallet – and the kids love it!

This Rootin’ Tootin’ Chili Is The Real Thing!

When I was a kid, I can remember my mother making a hot, steaming casserole pan full of rich and syrupy baked beans. They were so good to eat! Granted, when dad and grandpa ate this concoction, they often made music together, if you get my drift. LOL! Anyway, haha, these beans will help all the single ladies land their man if they follow this recipe. A way to a man’s heart is through his stomach 🙂

Even though you may have to plug your nose after eating these baked beans, it’s well worth the trouble. These beans are made with sweet and savory ingredients that are perfect for noshing. I enjoy using this recipe for Sunday dinners with the family and during the holidays. The recipe is super simple to follow and makes a hearty batch of beans for your hungry family. Despite the possible side effects, this is going to turn into a family favorite!

I Bet My Family Recipe Is Better Than Yours!

Everyone I know talks about their family’s version of Swiss steak. I think it’s one of those classic dishes that is always going to stay a favorite, no matter how much time goes by.

Some have the classic version of grilled steak while some prefer a saucy recipe. In my family, we’ve always cooked it the saucy way. Our recipe includes diced tomatoes, together with some flour and vegetable shortening (or butter) it makes a wonderful sauce for the beef.

We always place it on top of hot white rice or make some baked potato wedges for a side. Sometimes we’ve even added some pork to the recipe. I think it makes it even more flavorful but it’s still delish even if you only use beef.

It really doesn’t matter whether I make this for a weeknight meal or a special occasion – it is always a huge success and we hardly ever get any leftovers… Which is why I would recommend making a double batch. Trust me, you won’t be sorry! This is also a great dish for those occasions when you need to serve a larger crowd.

You CANNOT LOSE With This Recipe!

Summer is not even half way through but we’ve already had plenty of get-togethers and family meals over the grill. Even though I very much enjoy all the BBQ dishes, sometimes I just don’t feel like heating up the grill and staying next to it for an hour to make sure nothing gets burned.

Or, like the other day, when it was pouring down, I would much rather cook dinner in the kitchen. My sister and her family were coming over so I knew I needed a recipe that would feed a larger crowd. My two nephews are all grown up already (gosh, that makes me feel so old) and they’re not picky eaters, that’s for sure!

Fortunately, I had saved a few recipes for a rainy day (literally) and I decided to make these pork spareribs. They seemed simple enough to cook, and more importantly I knew I had pork spareribs in the freezer. I always stock up on meat whenever it’s on sale!

The aromas lingering in the kitchen were to die for, and you wouldn’t believe how fast my nephews emptied their plates and went for seconds!
