STOP With The Post-Dinner Cleanup Craziness!

Before we get started with the recipe, I have a confession to make. I’m the laziest person on the planet, when it comes to cleaning up after dinner. There, I said it! I feel a little guilty because my husband often steps in to do the cleanup. I guess I shouldn’t feel that way – after all, I made the dinner so it’s very nice of him to offer a helping hand.

The problem is, whenever he makes dinner, he always washes all the pots and pans and cleans up the kitchen before we even start eating. And that, my dear readers, is why I feel guilty.

I don’t know how he manages to do all that; it’s almost as if he had an extra pair of hands! But lately I’ve been trying to find ways to improve my kitchen skills. And recipes like this one have turned out such lifesavers! There really isn’t a cleanup at all, if you can make your whole meal in one pot. But I didn’t think a pasta dish would turn out this good, until I gave it a try!

baking powder, baking soda, basil, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, chilled salad, Clabber Girl, creamy cucumber tomato salad, dill, domino sugar, dry mustard, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, English cucumbers, food, garlic powder, Gold Medal flour, grape tomatoes, Italian parsley, Johnsonville, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, McCormick spices, mint, Morton salt, Nakano rice vinegar, Oikos Greek yogurt, onion powder, picnic, recipe, side dish, TruMoo milk, Wesson vegetable oil

I absolutely adore creamy cucumber salad as a side dish to any picnic meal. Nothing beats a burger fresh off the grill with a side of this salad on your plate. When I was growing up, my mother would make this crunchy salad all the time; however, she never included this one ingredient. Would you like to know what it is?

Tomatoes! Yep, red, ripe, juicy tomatoes. You wouldn’t believe the kick that adding in this extra veggie gives to this salad. I’ve always been a believer of the saying, “If it’s not broke don’t fix it,” but adding tomatoes to creamy cucumber salad is definitely the missing link we’ve all been waiting for.

baking powder, baking soda, Bertolli extra-virgon olive oil, black pepper, Bloody Mary Toast, cayenne pepper, celery leaves, celery stalks, Clabber Girl, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, Gold Medal flour, grape tomatoes, Horseradish, Johnsonville, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce, lemon, mayonnaise, McCormick spices, Morton salt, Pepperidge Farm rye bread, recipe, shallot, Sherry vinegar, TruMoo milk, Wesson vegetable oil

OK, I admit it, I enjoy occasionally sipping on Bloody Mary’s for breakfast. If I’m feeling saucy, I’ll have a Mimosa as well. So, I got to thinking, what types of breakfasts or appetizers mimic my favorite cocktail?

And then I stumbled upon this recipe.

Bloody Mary Tomato Toast with Celery and Horseradish is the best thing since, well, sliced bread. It’s crunchy, flavorful, and tastes just like an edible Bloody Mary (instead of drinkable).

Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, basil, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, brown sugar, Campbell’s soups, casserole, chicken and zucchini noodle caprese, chicken breast, Chiquita, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, crock pot, Daisy sour cream, dessert, Dole, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, fresh mozzarella balls, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, grape tomatoes, Green Giant, Hershey, Hodgkin’s Mill, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, keebler, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, Libby, McCormick spices, Morton salt, Oregano, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, recipe, Ritz crackers, Sara Lee, Sargento, slow cooker, spiralizer, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping, zucchini

Have a spiralizer and need a good recipe to use it with!? This one is super simple and delicious so you can’t go wrong! Thick zucchini noodles have the same consistency has spaghetti noodles so you won’t miss the carbs. Little balls of fresh mozzarella and grape tomatoes throughout, as well as tender well-seasoned chicken, add lots of flavor to this meal. In a quick 15 minutes you will have a healthy and tasty dinner on your table ready for your family.

Let’s hear it from our friends over at Skinnytaste:

When making zoodles (zucchini noodles) I prefer a thicker noodle because it
has more of bite and I’m careful not to overcook them so they don’t get watery. Under two minutes is all they need, then I quickly remove them
from the hot skillet or they will keep cooking.

That’s true! Zoodles are perfect when they are “al dente”, just like pasta noodles!
