This brings back some really fond childhood memories. As a child we would go to an actual hostess outlet store and I would always stock up on the hostess cupcakes. I still remember how perfect they looked, and that delicious taste… I was so thrilled when I found this recipe – and a little scared, too. I was afraid it wouldn’t be as tasty and I’d be disappointed. Little did I know this would be even better! This cake is really reminiscent of them but is actually slightly elevated because it has more of a real flavor.
This cake is a hit and would work great for your next dinner party, potluck or tailgate. I’ve made this for my friends and family, and people always ask me for the recipe. And nothing, nothing tastes better with your coffee than a slice of this cake!
You can even make this cake as a friendly gesture for a neighbor or a family who just welcomed a new baby to their home. it’s always nice to bring delicious food to folks.
