It’s About Time You Gave This Recipe A Try!

Boy, am I looking forward to cooking all kinds of festive meals during the holidays! We all really enjoy the fancy dishes, but I have to admit last year I was starting to dream about good old comfort food that wouldn’t take hours to make.

That’s why this year I am going to include this garlic bacon mac and cheese in the menu. It is essentially macaroni and cheese with a savory upgrade, perfectly festive enough for any occasion. And it isn’t difficult at all to make!

You won’t need any special ingredients here, nothing too fancy – and the simple ingredients combine to make a really hearty dish. However, there is something besides garlic and bacon that really takes this to the next level! As a side dish, this  would go nicely with a wide range of chicken or pork recipes, or you can just serve a larger portion with a side salad and have a really quick and easy meal to warm you up on a cold midweek night.

Amp Up The Classic Family Favorite With This 15-Minute Recipe!

We all love mac and cheese, don’t we? I don’t think I’ve ever come across anyone who doesn’t – and it doesn’t surprise me. It’s comfort food at its best; simple and inexpensive ingredients, easy-to-make and tastes amazing. Plus, there’s cheese! That’s always a big thumbs-up, if you ask me! However, sometimes your regular ol’ mac and cheese can get a little boring.

That’s when you need recipes like this one. I guarantee you’re in for a restaurant-quality meal experience! Who would have thought it would make such a huge difference to add some leftover lobster?

If you don’t happen to have leftover lobster then I suggest you get some, just for this dish. It’s well worth it! I served this to a friend of mine who works in a seafood restaurant, and she was tempted to take the recipe to their chef! I certainly wouldn’t mind paying for a serving of something so delicious.

I was a little skimpy on the cheese, just because I didn’t want to go to the store and I had to use whatever was in the fridge. It still turned out amazing, so if you’d like, you can use less cheese than mentioned in the ingredients.

You Probably Already Have These Ingredients In Your Pantry!

I love budget-friendly dinners! I grew up in a home where I learned to appreciate everything I had. My parents were farmers (we had a very small farm) so from the early years of my life, I learned what it took to provide for a large family. I also learned that a great meal, or a great life in general, is never about how much money you have and how expensive things you can buy. Even when I have some extra savings, I like to purchase inexpensive things and keep the money in my bank account for something special.

That’s why I got so excited when I came across this recipe! It uses the simplest of ingredients that you’ll probably already have at hand, or you can get them for just a few bucks. This casserole is easy to prepare and it’s a hearty meal for your whole family, as the recipe serves 4-6.

You might have all heard of the “crack chicken dip” recipe that is taking the cooking world by storm. If you made that recipe and loved it you had better hold on to your horses….er…chickens because this is cracked out chicken alfredo bake! Guys and gals, you have my solemn word that you are going to absolutely love this dinner dish. It’s creamy, dreamy, and filled with bacon and cheese! Yum! My entire family loved this meal and devoured it up like hungry little heifers. It was seriously one of the easiest and most delicious casseroles that I’ve ever made.

What I liked best about this recipe are its basic ingredients. Sometimes, the more basic the ingredients the better the food. There is no fancy footwork in this cracked out chicken alfredo at all. It’s very simple to make and the perfect dish to take to a family gathering or function.

As a child growing up, I can distinctly remember my mother making goulash on the regular. She loved the stuff, and we did too. Macaroni noodles, stewed tomatoes, and a hearty tomato sauce were all that I needed to feel happy and full at dinnertime. Sometimes, my mom would toss in bacon to the mix. Mmm!

As a mother and wife to my own family, I have since carried on the tradition of having goulash night at our house. I love the combination of flavors that this meal brings to the table. I always use ground beef in my goulash, but I’ve heard others use ground turkey. What do you think you’ll use?

Quick Tip: Try not to overcook your noodles as you want them to stay somewhat firm.

Oh, yummy! Don’t you just love macaroni and cheese? I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who doesn’t! I love trying all kinds of new recipes for this traditional dish – sometimes with less success, but occasionally I really hit the jackpot. That’s exactly what happened when I came across this recipe; it was the ultimate mac and cheese experience and I will hold on to this recipe forever!

Here’s what our friends over at The Brown Eyed Baker had to say about this mac and cheese recipe:

This macaroni and cheese may have been the biggest hit of the day. My mom declares herself not much of a macaroni and cheese fan, but said this one changed her mind. My father-in-law and cousin are both macaroni and cheese aficionados and they both went back for seconds (shhhh, I think I saw some thirds!).

Do you have a picky eater in your house? Perhaps a little boy or a girl who is exceptionally good at spotting different vegetables in a dish – and avoiding every single piece… Or maybe it’s the dude you married! You know, the one that could never become a vegetarian because he “needs” the meat. I used to have one of those guys in my house as well. But the sneaky person I am, I’ve gotten rid of them!

No, I didn’t get rid of my husband. I just started hiding veggies in these mind-blowing, delicious dishes and soon he was totally brainwashed. It really is quite easy with recipes such as this one – this cheesy broccoli bake is incredible! And it is so easy and convenient to prepare.
