What could be more satisfying than tender, melt-in-your-mouth pepper steak? I just adore this dish, and I love serving it over egg noodles or white rice. It’s an easy family favorite that no one complains about. My mom used to make it from a box mix, I’m pretty sure because she was a busy working mama. Had she known she could use the crock pot I know she would have!
This particular recipe is perfectly seasoned. Because it cooks in the crock it comes out even more tender than usual. I like using red bell peppers in place of green because the flavor it a little sweeter to me, and a nice contrast with the meat. However you can use any color pepper you like, a friend even threw in some hot peppers and said it was phenomenal. I may try that next time because I need a little spice in my life.
