I Can’t Pronounce The Name Of These Cookies But They Are DELISH

Many years ago I spent two weeks in Germany, traveling around the country with a group of friends. I know most people think of Oktoberfest when you mention you’ve been to Germany, but we weren’t there for the beer. To us, it was all about the food! I knew I liked German food, based on dishes I had enjoyed back home already – but when we were actually there, everything was even more delicious!

Somehow I had this thought in my mind that I would mostly be eating different kinds of sausages and really good bread. I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with German sweet treats, but I did. The pfeffernusse cookies!

I still don’t know how to pronounce it correctly but I can tell you these spice cookies are amazing. I think these are traditionally holiday cookies, but I’m planning on making these all year long. They’re way too tasty to be made once a year only!

Forget Starbucks – This Homemade Bread Will Carry You Into The Clouds

There was a time when I used to think applesauce bread was a mandatory item at the holiday dinner table. Don’t get me wrong – I still think it’s delicious. But after my mother mentioned this recipe, it changed my life. You think I’m being over-dramatic? Well, you haven’t tasted this cranberry bliss bread yet.

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying a Starbucks cranberry bliss bar, you may have an idea of how awesome this recipe is. I mean, you get the same, incredible flavors – but a whole loaf of them!

They say the holidays are about sharing, but I kind of don’t feel like sharing a single piece of this loaf. I think I’m just going to make 2, right away. One for the guests and one, all for me! The bread itself is super juicy and tasty on its own, but when you cover it with frosting, decorate with craisins and drizzle with white chocolate? It. Is. To. Die. For. It doesn’t matter how many helpings you got at dinner, there’s always room for a slice of this!

Quick Tip: You serve the bread without the frosting to make it lighter – but who would want to do that?

I Can’t Even Begin To Tell You How Much I LOVE This Trifle!

I am a huge fan of peanut butter pie, mmkay? My mother has a wonderful recipe for this luscious pie that she makes every year over the holidays.

But peanut butter pie isn’t the only dessert I’m crazy about, so when I started planning for my holiday menu, I knew I wanted something a bit more. There is nothing wrong with mom’s peanut butter pie but I thought I could add to the awesomeness. So, I searched my old recipe notes for something similar to peanut butter pie and came across this glorious recipe I got from my sister a long time ago!

Guys, I can’t even begin to tell you how good this dessert is. It’s rich, fudgy, and decadent. I for one think that peanut butter and chocolate go hand in hand so this trifle, in my opinion, is a real winner. I made it last week as an experiment to see how my family liked it and they LOVED it. Needless to say, I will be serving this yummy dessert over the holidays.

This 3-Layer Dessert Will Make You Want To Slap Your Momma!

If you’re looking for a dessert that’s going to sweep you and all your guests off your feet, I guarantee this is it. I’ve never had anything nearly as delicious as these bars with such a funny name; nanaimo. I don’t know what that means but I think it might be “the heavenly dessert bar that will pamper your taste buds and make you sing hallelujah”!

Even though you need three different layers for this dessert, it’s not that difficult to make. The instructions are very straight forward and the end result is definitely worth the effort.

When you’re making the bottom layer, be careful so that you don’t add the egg when the cocoa mixture is too hot. If it seems too hot, let it cool for a while first or the egg will curdle. Another trick for it would be to slowly beat some of the cocoa mixture into the egg first, a little at a time. Trust me – that’s the only tricky part about this recipe!

Fluffy, Caramelly, Peanut-Buttery… What More Could You Ask For?

I was going to just quickly tell you about this incredible no-bake pie, but I’ve been staring at that photo, my mouth watering, and thinking of last week when I tried this for the first time. I am so going to blame this recipe if I have to go and buy new jeans in a larger size next week! Gosh, this pie was delicious!

As if peanut butter wasn’t enough to lure me in, there is actually Snicker’s in the mix, too. I swear, my first bite of this felt like I had died and gone to dessert heaven. Halfway through my the slice I was already reaching for another one, and I could have eaten the whole pie on my own but my family made me share!

The best part about this is that you don’t have to use your oven. The worst part is that you’re going to have to let this chill and set in the refrigerator for 4 hours. Guys, those were the longest, slowest hours of my life!

I Call This The OMG Fudge!

To be honest with you, this is actually called Snickers fudge but I prefer using “OMG fudge”. I can’t take credit for the name – I simply came up with it because everyone I’ve ever served this to has always said the same thing; “Oh my gosh!” This fudge is so unbelievably, mouth-watering, to-die-for delicious that it’s hard to describe it without sounding a little crazy. In a way, I guess this does make you a little nuts. You’ll understand when you sink your teeth into this.

Another awesome thing about this yummy recipe is that it’s ridiculously easy to make. No candy thermometers involved, and you mostly just need to stir a few things together. There are only 7 ingredients so it’s definitely not rocket science.

Without a doubt, the hardest part about making this fudge is waiting for it to chill in the refrigerator until you can cut it to pieces. Now, that is another OMG moment! I’m pretty sure I could just eat the mixture with a spoon and it would still be delicious!

Dunkin’ Donuts’ Got Nothin’ On These!

This morning I really could have used one these taste bud tantalizing donuts with my coffee! I guess it the Monday blues or something; everything seemed to go wrong from the very start of the day, and by noon I already wished I hadn’t gotten out of bed at all. So, one of these definitely would have made a big difference! I guess that’s why I decided I’m making a big batch of them tonight, to freeze plenty for similar occasions!

In my opinion, this copycat recipe is as close to “the real thing” as possible. Actually, I might even say these are better than the Dunkin’ Donuts counterparts. When you sink your teeth into one of these and get a taste of that amazing, creamy, vanilla filling – there’s just no going back.

If you’re trying to watch your figure, this recipe is not for you! Unless you’ve decided on a cheat day, haha! I do not want to think about calories when I’m eating these, but if one of these means I need an extra hour at the gym, it’s a price I am more than willing to pay!
