Who Else Wants To Skip Plain Potatoes And Make These Awesome Ones Instead?

Mashed potatoes are always a welcome addition to my table, and the simple addition of sour cream really knocked my socks off. Delicious!

My kids and husband kept saying that there was something different about these potatoes and I kept them guessing until we were finished eating. I heard many guesses like extra butter, more milk, and even cream cheese. By the way, adding cream cheese to mashed potatoes sounds heavenly and I think I’m going to have to try that next. Have you ever tried it?

When I finally told the fam that I put sour cream in the mashed potatoes they were shocked. My youngest son kept asking why the potatoes tasted so good and not sour. I had to laugh at that. I am so happy that these creamy and quick-to-make mashed potatoes were such a hit with my family. I know your friends and family will really enjoy them, too!

This Pork Is So Tender, You Could Eat It With A Spoon!

I have a feeling that whenever people want to create a menu for a special occasion, they tend to think they need exotic, out-of-the-ordinary, or at least expensive ingredients. That’s how I used to feel, anyway, whenever I was cooking a special dinner. I’m not sure where the idea came from – after all, it all comes down to great taste, right?

Food doesn’t have to be expensive or difficult to make, to be delicious. This awesome recipe from Guy’s Home Kitchen proves it! Everyday ingredients from your pantry will help you turn your pork tenderloin into mouth-watering medallions, and that beautifully creamy sauce takes this dish to a whole new level of yum!

This is a meal fit for a king – although I guarantee you’d rather hide every piece for yourself! Should you be lucky enough to have leftovers, they will make amazing sandwiches the next day. If you don’t have a probe thermometer, I highly recommend getting one. It will help you cook the most amazingly tender pork!

When The Goin’ Gets Tough, These Muffins Will Save The Day

Last week was horrible for me. Actually, I think it was even worse for my kids. I had so many things to remember every day; all kinds of appointment’s, deadlines, stops by the vet, a car that broke down and a church potluck I had promised to organize. I barely got a few hours of sleep each night – and I felt like I was neglecting my children. What kind of a mother serves Oreos for breakfast? I did not feel good about myself at all.

This week has started off a little easier, and this breakfast muffin recipe has a lot to do with that. On Sunday, I made a big batch of these and now I have at least one thing crossed off my never-ending list of things to do; serve a proper breakfast for the kids.

It may not be ideal, if you consider proper breakfast a thing where you sit down and have a chat with your family for an hour, before everyone heads to school and work. But it is definitely ideal for our family, at this time! No-one has to leave home hungry, and these are actually quite a healthy way to start the day.

You Only Need 5 Ingredients For These Awesome Loaded Baked Potato Totchos!

I want to get something straight right from the beginning. I am a very lazy cook. Mm-hmm, yes I am, and I’m not even ashamed to admit it! I don’t hate cooking, per say, but I think it’s because of my crazy schedule that I often find it hard to get excited about preparing a fancy, time-consuming meal. With all the kids, their school and hobbies and my work; it’s just not realistic I tell ya!

So I am always on the lookout for simple, yet scrumptious meals that I can put together in no-time (and clean up in even less!) Needless to say, slow cooker is my trusty companion, but I don’t want to make all of our meals in the crock pot.

Enter my favorite recipes that I like to call “one-pan wonders”! When all you need to do to prepare a meal for the whole family, is to throw a bunch of ingredients into a single pan or pot – I call it a winner. And this delicious recipe is exactly like that. It’s ready in 30 minutes!

Bacon Makes Good Things Even Better

I know I said Tailgate Touchdown in the headline but I might as well have said Morning Routine Touchdown! These egg and bacon muffins have saved my life on so many occasions, I’ve lost count. We all know what it’s like now that the kids are back to school and you’re trying to get them out of bed, comb their hair (or at least brush their teeth) and eat a little something before you rush them out the door. It’s not always easy, or fun, but these guys are here to help you!

These muffins are so easy to make ahead for those crazy times, and even if you’re not making them ahead, they’ll be ready in 30 minutes. Now, that’s what I call fast food! These are not only great for breakfast, but also awesome for anyone who needs to quickly grab a snack or lunch for work.

You can hide all kinds of yummy things inside these muffins! Little bits of cheese, broccoli, grated carrots, you name it! I usually just add mushrooms but the kids love these with spinach.

5 Ingredients Is All You Need For This!

A couple of weeks ago I was searching for new recipes that I needed for a special get-together with friends.

I wasn’t going to serve a full dinner with a heavy entree, instead I wanted several lighter side dishes and appetizers we could snack on in between cutting the cake and watching fireworks (I told you it was a special occasion, didn’t I?) To make things even more difficult, I wanted to keep the costs down to a minimum, so whatever I was going to serve needed to be on the inexpensive side. Without compromising taste, of course!

I was getting desperate, but finally I came across this recipe. It was perfect, and so simple to prepare! I decided to use lean and low-fat ingredients just because I was serving a lot of appetizers that were kind of heavy. No-one would have guessed this was “the light version” because it was just so tasty!

5 easy meals veggie patties

My Grandma Used To Make These All The Time, Yummy!

I love all kinds of vegetables, but I know quite a few people who are not as fond of them as I am.

I have no idea why – at first I thought maybe they didn’t have that many vegetable dishes when they were growing up. Then again, I’m not sure I did, either. Growing up on a farm we obviously ate them, but vegetable were never emphasized in our diet, in any way. Even when we had veggies, there was always some kind of meat mixed into the dish.

So I never had vegetable patties at home. The first time I ever tried them was in school and I immediately fell in love! And you can imagine they weren’t the fresh type of veggie patties one makes at home – no, they were those industrially made, frozen patties and yet, I loved them. So, this recipe right here? This one totally blew my mind.
