We Cracked The Code! This Is The Most Amazing Way To Cook Roast Beef

I had an awesome roast beef recipe that I used to make for Sunday supper, once a month. It was a recipe my aunt gave me years ago; she said she had found it in an old cook book and thought it was scrumptious. And it really was – I thought it was the best EVER and there’s no way anything could ever top that one. But then our neighbors invited us over for dinner.

Kristen, my neighbor, had made roast beef with baked potatoes and as soon as we stepped in, the aromas nearly swept me off my feet. I asked her if she had a family recipe for it but she kind of just shrugged and said; “No, I just found this one online.”

The meal was out-of-this-world amazing and I’m not even ashamed to say I forced her to give me the recipe immediately. She was more than happy to do so and, of course, I immediately saved it in my stash of favorites when I got back home.

My Husband’s Number 1 Favorite Recipe!

If you’re looking for the best brisket ever, you’ve come to the right place! I haven’t needed another recipe ever since the first time I tried making it this way. I love the barbecue flavors, I love how tender the meat is – and most of all, I love how simple this is to make. It takes very little prep work and then all you need is some patience, while your oven is doing the rest of the work for you!

Sometimes I like to add chopped veggies to the same roasting pan, a while before the brisket is done. This way I can get a full meal in one pan, with only a few minutes of extra prep. But most of the times we love to enjoy this brisket on sandwich buns. Drizzle with some hot sauce or garlic sauce – so scrumptious!

This is a great make ahead dish for a larger crowd. I’ve made this for game nights and all kinds of family gatherings. If you’re looking for an easy way to make a whole week’s lunch for the kids – this is it! According to my teenager, this makes “the BEST lunch sandwiches EVER”.

Are You Struggling With Your Grocery Bill?

We all know how expensive food can be these days, and I doubt it’s going to get any cheaper. When you’re cooking for five people (or even more) you will quickly notice how things add up. I’m going to be perfectly honest with you here. I haven’t always been a big fan of onions. I mean, I don’t mind if there’s some onion in my dinner or even salad, but for some reason it’s not the first ingredient that comes to my mind when someone asks me about my favorite dishes. And when we’re talking about a soup recipe where onion is being used as the main ingredient, it kind of made me cringe. For a long time I just wanted to avoid recipes such as this one, until a friend of mine convinced me to give it a try. She said it was one of the most delicious soups she had ever tasted (and believe me, she has always been a picky eater), so I got curious. And it turned out she was right about it!

This recipe is now one of my favorites, and it’s so hearty and warm, you’ll want to make it for every lunch! Not to mention, it only has a few ingredients! The sweetness of the onion, is complimented by the dry sherry and brandy added to the mix. This dish serves 4-6 people and is made in less than 15 minutes. So get to choppin’ and enjoy!

One of the essential tools for a busy mom is a crock pot. Especially when all you want to do is make a bunch of chocolate chip cookies, sit back and eat them all, instead of spending hours to make dinner for your family… You can bake a million cookies while this chunky, beefy concoction cooks to perfection! So yeah, I’d say that’s a very good reason to get yourself a slow cooker, if you don’t already have one! I actually have two, and sometimes I make dinner in the large one while I have dessert cooking in the other one!

This recipe makes 6-8 servings, but if you have a big pot, you can easily double it.  Set-it and forget-it, and let it cook all day while you can have your hands available for work, exercise (or really, just baking those cookies). You can also add any additional vegetables of your choice, as long as you add a little extra beef stock. Oh, how I love simple and easy dinners!

This meal has been one of my family’s favorites for years, and I’m sure it will stay that way forever. With a few little tweaks (add different veggies and spices) you can make it taste fresh and new each time.

I think that there might be about as many ways to make great pork chops as to make a tasty chicken dish.
