You’ll Make These Fast And Devour Them Even Faster!

It seems to me people are always in a hurry these days, or maybe it’s just the way things are at our house… That’s where 30-minute recipes, such as these, come in handy!

I would love to serve homemade meals every single day but sometimes it’s just totally impossible to find time for cooking. My crock pot has become my best friend lately – thanks to it I haven’t had to opt for takeout, every day of the week! But occasionally I really feel like making something for my family, without using the slow cooker.

And that’s when I move to the opposite direction; instead of slow cooking, I find recipes that can be made really fast! I’ve written all of these down in a separate little cookbook that I titled “Super Quick Recipes”. Not a very fancy title, huh? At least it’s accurate!

Whether you’re looking to make an appetizer, dinner or dessert, there’s a recipe for that on this list. You can make all of these in 30 minutes (or less) but I guarantee it won’t take that long for them to disappear! What is your favorite, quick-to-make recipe? I’d love to read about it, in the comment section below!

My Mother Told Me These Have Been Her Favorites Since She Was A Little Girl

Last week I was struggling, trying to decide what dessert to make for my best friend’s baby shower. She loves all things old-fashioned, so I knew I wasn’t going to make a fancy, modern treat. Not that there’s anything wrong with those – and I’m sure she and everyone attending the shower would have loved any kind of dessert! But I still wanted to choose from classic dessert recipes, instead.

I have a pretty impressive collection of old and new dessert recipes but the problem was, there were too many to choose from! So I did what any woman would do when facing tough times; I turned to my mother. I asked what her favorite dessert recipe was when she was little.

I’m not sure if she actually helped me make a decision or not, since she came up with seven that she thought were equally amazing. Thanks, Mom… Well, I finally decided to settle on two desserts; #6 and #3 on this list. My best friend loved them both, and I got so many requests for the recipes that I decided to put together this list for all of you!

7 classic dessert recipes chocolate cheesecake bites

I have fallen in love with chocolate dipped cheesecake bites. Nobody tell my husband.

So, it was a blizzard outside and my entire family was stuck in the house. No school and no work. We tend to get a bit of cabin fever under these circumstances. So, what did we do? We made chocolate dipped cheesecake bites of course! My youngest son insisted that we all dress up as chef’s while we made the treats. My husband wasn’t playing along with these shenanigans but the rest of us did. I even drew a tiny mustache on my upper lip. I looked like a French baker.

Our chocolate dipped cheesecake bites turned out great! Actually, they are probably the best dessert I’ve ever gotten from Melady Cooks.

Fruit salad just got a makeover with this creamy and dreamy recipe!

For as long as I can remember my mother and grandmother always made some sort of a fruit salad for family gatherings. Now, these fruit salads weren’t just any old combination of fruit from a can. My mom would typically hollow out a watermelon shell and place her fruit salad inside of it. She’d make the rind look like a basket! Mom was always so creative. I know she would adore this recipe for creamy orange fruit salad.

I love the fact that this creamy orange fruit salad incorporates Greek yogurt into the mix. So yummy!

For as long as I can remember, apple carrot bread has been my favorite homemade treat.

My husband and I were invited to a Super Bowl party last year. I had been doing really good with my healthy eating goals and I knew there would be nothing but junk food at the gathering. I mean, I couldn’t expect people to swap out their brownies and nachos for something healthy haha! So, I decided to make my own “dessert” and brought along this homemade apple carrot bread. It was a hit!

Wouldn’t you know that everyone was chowing on my apple carrot bread instead of the donuts and cookies? Apple carrot bread is a touchdown!

Wouldn’t it be grand to get the details on how to make this lovely recipe? Welp, hop on over to the next page for a list of ingredients and instructions. Yum!
