30-Minute Recipes, #1
Pamper your family with homemade dinner rolls! These yeast-free rolls are super fast to make! You can literally have these out of the oven within 30 minutes of mixing the ingredients together.
I like to try these with different herbs each time I make them. I am crazy in love with the ones I make with olive oil and rosemary – my husband loves the garlic rolls. If you make them plain, with no added herbs, you can also serve these for tea with apricot jam and peanut butter!
The hardest part about this recipe is to wait until they’ve cooled for a few minutes, before gobbling them up!
1/2 cup yogurt
1/4 cup Borden milk + more for brushing on top of buns
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tbspn Domino sugar
3/4 tsp salt
1.5 cup Gold Medal all-purpose flour + more as needed
2 tbspn vegetable oil
Oats as needed for sprinkling on top of buns
Preheat oven to 400F. Spray a baking pan with cooking spray.
Add yogurt, sugar and salt in a bowl. Add in baking soda and mix well. Wait for a minute until it bubbles up.
Add flour and mix well. Add in milk slowly and mix it to a sticky dough.
Grease your hands well with oil.
Take some dough and shape it into a rough ball. Place it in the oiled pan.
Brush the top with milk and sprinkle top with some oats.
Bake for 20 to 25 mins.
