Nothing beats grandma’s classic Swiss steak recipe cooked low and slow in the crock pot.

My husband loves a good old-fashioned Swiss steak smothered in tomato sauce and cooked until the meat is as tender as my heart after watching Gone With The Wind. I’m telling you what, folks, this crock pot Swiss steak recipe made by Rob Green of YouTube is a real winner. You can’t just have one serving. I promise you that. After being cooked all day the meat turns out so tender and juicy. So yummy!

If Swiss steak is a go-to meal for you (or even if it isn’t) you MUST give Rob Green’s recipe a try. You won’t be sorry!

Get The Party Started With A Dip To Die For!

I am in love with this baked parmesan dip from Courtney’s Sweets, and so are my kids! You know why? It’s because they saw Courtney’s recipe video and noticed those little hands making this yummy dip. You should have seen their eyes light up when I told them they could help me make this! They were so excited, and you won’t believe how fast they gobbled this up!

Even though this is a dip that your little ones could make without much help, it doesn’t mean grown-ups wouldn’t enjoy this, too. I made this for a movie night a couple of weeks ago and it was a huge success.

Courtney suggests serving this with chicken nuggets, but I just had a variety of chips, bread sticks and baguette slices available. All of them disappeared in 30 minutes, and so did every last, ooey-gooey drop of this dip!

You could make this is a larger baking dish, or small ramekins for individual servings. Either way you make it, it’s going to turn out delicious.

5 beef recipes salisbury steak

Do You Remember Enjoying This As A Kid? I Sure Do!

Did you know that the salisbury steak was invented by a 19th century physician, James Salisbury?

I didn’t either, but apparently he believed beef would solve many physical problems, and suggested this steak should be eaten three times a day. Of course, accompanied with plenty of water to cleanse the digestive system. I’m not as certain of the health benefits of this old-fashioned dish, but I do think it’s scrumptious!

I have to admit, though, that this recipe from Bobbi Meyer is pretty healthy (not to mention delicious!) If you’re using lean ground beef and making sure your ketchup is low-sugar, I guess you could have this even if you’re on a diet!

But that’s not why I decided to give Bobbi’s recipe a try. I made it because it looked really easy, super tasty, and because I think she’s pretty awesome, too! Have you seen all those recipes from her? She’s got plenty, and I intend to try them all, one at a time.
