All The Good Things And None Of The Bad Stuff!
I make this for my family (and friends) every year… I always make a huge batch and have to use a Tupperware cake top as my bowl and the bottom as my top! It’s sooo rich and creamy! I will put some in tins and give as gifts as well… guess I’m already starting to wish for winter… what am I saying? I’ve been wishing for winter since June! I’m sorry all of you warm weather lovers but I am a HUGE Fall/Winter fan. I love the layered clothing, falling leaves, snow, and HOT COCOA!
My family absolutely adores this recipe. My kids always tell me that my homemade cocoa mix is so much better than the stuff you buy in the store. I would have to agree with them. Plus, this homemade hot cocoa mix doesn’t contain any harmful fillers or preservatives. Just pure, yummy, chocolatey, goodness. You’ll be half tempted to make this hot drink when the temperature gauge strikes 100 in the summer because it is THAT stinkin’ good!

Quick Tip: Place the dry mix of this cocoa into decorative jars and attach a small notecard affixed by raffia or string detailing the directions on how to make the cocoa. Give away as a gift!

My Mom used to make this when I was little, like in the 70’s. I believe she used powdered coffee creamer as well. I asked her,and neither one of us can remember. Thanks for this recipe! I plan on using white chocolate powdered mix as well!
