My family seriously eats pizza at least once a week. We absolutely love the stuff!

From ordering out to making a piping hot homemade pie we do it all. I think my favorite place to order pizza is the local restaurant in town. They always smother the pizza with a ton of cheese. Yum, I love cheese! Pizza Hut would be my favorite franchise place to get pizza and Little Ceasers comes in at a close second. However, we aren’t making a traditional pizza today. We are making creamy pizza casserole and it is going to be ding dang good!

Now, if you’re looking for an affordable pizza dinner that is meant to serve a handful of folks you might want to consider making this yummy pizza casserole. It truly is a hearty meal and it’s not too expensive to make. It’s certainly cheaper than buying 2 or 3 pizzas from a restaurant.

Plius, just liek pizza you can personalize this casserole to fit your needs. I found that following the recipe as stated on the next page turns out really well but feel free to use the veggies, meats, and cheeses that you prefer. Enjoy!

I am a mega fan of chocolate and coffee.

There have been times where I’ll enjoy a Hershey bar while sipping on a piping hot cup of Joe and I’ll actually dip my candy bar into my coffee. It is so good! granted, i can’t do this all of the time because I’ll gain 400 pounds haha! This cake is a Mississippi chocolate and coffee cake and it excites me to the point of delirium. I can’t get enough of this stuff!

You may think this type of cake is super hard to make but i assure you, it is not. It does take some time and patience but once you get it in the oven and frosted, you’ll be so glad that you decided to take the plunge on the bakery confection. If you entered this cake into a baking contest I am sure it would win the blue ribbon.

When it comes to savory side dishes I am all over that like white on rice!

This potato bake is no different. The spuds are scrubbed, peeled, and cooked until they are a creamy, yummy mess of goodness. I seriously cannot get enough of these baked mashed potatoes! The best part about it all is that these spuds are super easy to make. I think these baked mashed potatoes would make the perfect side dish at Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.

Another great thing about this side dish is that almost everyone loves it including the kids. It is rich, creamy, and very flavorful. My middle son is a very picky eater and he said that these potatoes were his favorite food on the table. That’s a win for team mom for sure! Will you be cooking up these lovely little spuds today? If so, please let me know how they turn out in the comments as I always enjoy hearing from you guys and gals.

Quick Tip: Add a sprinkle of chopped parsley or chives to the top of the potato bake for a lovely presentation.

When it comes to holiday foods I am all ears…and stomach!

I love preparing the side dishes for Thanksgiving and Christmas spreads. This baked corn casserole is a real delight to have sitting on your dinner table. You have so many textures going on within the casserole such as creaminess, crunchiness, and those amazing little kernels of corn that seem to pop in your mouth as you eat them. Yummy! Plus, you can enjoy holiday foods all year ’round, especially casseroles such as this. Who doesn’t enjoy munching on corn during each of the four seasons?

This baked corn casserole is one of my husbands favorite holiday side dishes and my kids love it as well. I haven’t made it every year but I think I am going to start because whenever I leave it off the menu someone will always ask, “Where’s the corn casserole?”

That’s not going to happen this year! So, just remember, if you plan on dining with us for the holidays this season you’ll be getting a hefty helping of this fabulous corn casserole on your plate 🙂

What is your favorite holiday pie? Mine would have to be pumpkin as it is my husbands, too.

What if i told you that you could make a delightful pumpkin pie cake? It’s true! This is one of the best pumpkin desserts out there, folks. It combines the best of both worlds and you the result is a delectable pumpkin pie cake that is so moist and tasty it’ll make your head spin! Now, I’m not one for meddling around with desserts that are already amazing, such as pumpkin pie, but this recipe only makes it better.

One of the trippy things about this dessert is that you can’t tell what you are eating at times. One moment you think you are noshing on pumpkin pie and then the next your brain tells your taste buds that they are enjoying a delectable cake. It’s totally crazy…but in a good way. I plan to bring this pumpkin pie cake to my family’s holiday dinner. I know they are going to love it. I bet I may even receive a few pats on the back, too. We can all use an extra atta girl from time to time 🙂

Quick Tip: Many people enjoy this pumpkin pie cake with whipped cream (like me!) but others prefer to eat it with vanilla ice cream. The choice is yours 🙂

It Doesn’t Get Any Easier (Or TASTIER) Than This!

I am crazy about appetizers. If it was up to me, I would just serve all kinds of appetizers for dinner every day, instead of cooking your usual full meal. Somehow I feel like eating a bunch of different kinds of little things is much more fun than just eating a nice steak. Not that there’s anything wrong with steak, of course. I wonder if I’m the only one who thinks like this… Could you think of just serving appetizers for dinner?

I bet you could, after you’ve had a taste of this amazing garlic bread. It looked so incredibly delicious that I just couldn’t wait until another party to make it.

I decided we needed an appetizer for a regular weeknight dinner yesterday. You know, just because. So I made this garlic bread and it turned out mind-blowing! I knew it looked good in the picture but nothing could have prepared me for that stupendous taste! I probably would have eaten the whole thing on my own, if it wasn’t for my family…

Was This Your Mother’s Recipe, Too?

We all have a favorite cake recipe, don’t we – the one you got from your favorite neighbor, the one your great-grandmother came up with, or just the one you found surfing online last week. Whether it’s a sheet cake, a pound cake or a beautifully frosted, layered cake – it becomes your favorite for a reason, and it’s kind of hard to try and find a recipe that would beat those old favorites.

I thought I would never find a tastier cake recipe than the one I got from my mother. She had gotten it from a friend at work, decades ago already, and the cake is to die for. Seriously – I could eat 3 slices just like that!

But when a friend of mine gave me this recipe, I immediately knew this was going to be amazing. I didn’t think it would be better than my Mom’s, but oh boy, was I in for a surprise.

When I had my first slice of this cake with a cup of coffee, it was like a symphony of flavors in my mouth. I must have looked like a crazy woman because my husband asked me if I was ok. He did understand it all when he tried the cake himself!
