It took an afternoon breakfast for dinner party, for me to realize that this dish worked so well as a dinner meal. I would have never tried this for dinner as I associate tater tots with breakfast, but after eating this in the evening, I realized how well it would match at my dinner table. My husband would love it and I know if I brought it to my family, they would chow it down happily as well. I am so glad Anne introduced this to me at dinner time because it is going to start making regular appearances!
This has all the elements I love, and to top it off, she says that it is kid and hubby-friendly! That is my type of meal!
Ingredients
1 32 oz bag frozen Ore-Ida tater tots
1 pound ground chicken
2 can Campbell’s cream of chicken soup
3/4 cup milk
salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
Spray 9×13 pan with non-stick cooking spray and preheat oven 350 degrees.
Brown ground chicken in frying pan and drain grease. Ground turkey can also be used.
Dump ground chicken into 9×13 pan.
Place tots on top of ground meat.
In a bowl, mix soups and milk together and pour over meat and tots.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake in 350-degree oven for about 45 minutes.
