My Grandma was a school teacher, and perhaps the nicest person on the planet. That’s what I think anyways. Others probably have their own nicest Grandma in the world award given away to someone else, and that’s okay. This is about my Granny though. Every summer, we would spend tons of time at her house. Mainly because she didn’t have to work I think, and my parents still did. We were off of learning at school, and she was taking a break from teaching. She would always have plenty for us to do though. I think it was the teacher in her that kept us busy. She lived on a huge property out in the country, so she would have us do anything from mowing the lawn to catching bugs to check out.
It all really depended on what she needed help with. If it was nothing that day, we would really have some fun. Once in a while, on those rainy days when we couldn’t get outside, she would take us in the kitchen and teach us how to make all kinds of different things.
One of my most favorite things to create with her was her butter pecan sundae topping. Oh man was that stuff good. It was fun to make, and even more fun to eat.
