The thing I love most about this recipe is that there is absolutely no measuring! You get to decide how much of each item you want to put in, if you want to add it in at all. The end result is completely up to you in this very versatile, yet very tasty salad. I like to add in more greens than pasta to mine, but when I am serving a large group, I usually opt for more pasta, just because it’s more filling. Always serve this with a container of dressing so that people can decide for themselves how much they want to use.
This is like two different salads blended into one. and the end result is incredible!
Ingredients
some Barilla pasta (your choice); cooked, rinsed with cool water, drained
some Newman’s Own Caesar salad dressing
some grilled chicken chunks or strips, grilled at home or packaged
some romaine lettuce leaves
some tomato chunks
some bacon bits
some cucumbers
some croutons
some Kraft parmesan cheese, shredded
Instructions
Cook the pasta until done (to your taste). Rinse with cool water and drain well. While that is cooking…
Grill chicken strips, unless you bought them precooked at the store. Leave in strips or cut into chunks.
Mix the drained pasta with some of the caesar dressing. Add the chicken and more dressing, if needed. (If you’re taking this to a covered dish dinner later, cover & refrigerate until ready to leave.)
Right before serving, add the romaine lettuce, tomatoes, bacon bits, croutons, and shredded parmesan cheese. Toss well, adding more dressing as needed. (Or leave the bottle beside the salad bowl.) Serve immediately.

Quick Tip: Use real bacon instead of bacon bits if you prefer.
