Now, this is an easy recipe to make at any time of day. Sometimes I make this ham just for the purpose of later freezing it and having lots of yummy tasting meat to make soups with. It is quite delicious that way! I love to use leftover ham in soups, casseroles, and sandwiches. My husband will quite often take leftover ham t work with him for lunch and sometimes my kiddos will make subs out of the meat and take tem to school. You can get many meals out of the slow cooker ham recipe and that means you get to save time and money!
Ingredients
7-10 lb Honey Baked spiral ham
2 tablespoons brown Dijon mustard
1/2 cup Domino brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon McCormick nutmeg
1/3 cup of water
2 tablespoons Argo corn starch
Instructions
Spray your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or use a crock-pot liner. Place ham in the slow cooker.
Combine sugar, honey, nutmeg, cinnamon, and mustard in a sauce pan on medium heat. Let cook for 2-5 minutes, and whisk to combine thoroughly. Remove from heat.
Pour water in the bottom of the crock pot. Pour honey mixture over the ham.
Use a lid or aluminum foil to cover the slow cooker.
Cook the ham on low for 6-8 hours. Baste with the juices in the bottom of the crock pot once every hour.
When done, remove the ham from the crock pot. To make glaze/gravy: Pour the juices into a medium saucepan. Mix together 2 Tbsp of cornstarch with 1 Tbsp of water and pour into the saucepan. Cook on medium heat until it starts to thicken.
The oven method: Make a tent for the ham with aluminum foil and bake 15 to 20 minutes per pound at 350F. Baste the ham once every thirty minutes.

Quick Tip: Let the ham for a few minutes before serving so the juices don’t all run out.

Great recipe. It’s very close to one I got from my sister years ago. Main difference is that we use lemon pepper to rub the roast before searing it. That adds a great low key citrus note.
