Last summer was a busy one for my family. We had tons of events including weddings, BBQs, showers, potlucks, and various other gatherings. It seemed like every weekend from the start of May to the end of September was booked before we even got through April. That’s why I have a bit of a love relationship with the season. I enjoy the warm weather and time spent with those we most enjoy being around. The problem is, everything is so busy, it’s gone before you have a chance to blink and eye, and soon the weather is starting to get cold again. I always try to make the most of it, but it still goes quickly.
I always try and come up with a new dish to pass each summer, so people don’t get tired of me bring the same thing all the time. Last year, I made this incredibly tasty ranch potato salad a lot! It was so easy, and everyone always raved about how good it was.
When you find something that people like, you stick with it. It’s way nicer to walk back to the buffet table to see that your bowl has been completely emptied out rather than not touched at all. This one is always all gone, and that makes me feel like all my work was worth it.
