I have played the piano my entire life.  As soon as I was old enough to know my ABCs, my parents put me in piano lessons and I have not stopped playing ever since.  Nowadays, I have graduated from piano and have a diploma and teach other children.  Usually these kids are girls between the ages of 6-12.  They are young and eager to learn and love to come to classes.  It really does excite me.  The best part is they consider me more than just a teacher, but a friend.  They talk to me about their lives, and my favorite part: their daily dinners.  They talk to me about food all the time and I love it.

Anyway, just a couple of days ago, one of my students told me about a baked ziti her mom made for dinner.  She told me it was the best meal she had ever enjoyed in her life (I thought that was funny given she is just seven years old) and that I just had to try it.  She made her mom forward the recipe to me via email and tole me I had to make it before our next lesson so I could tell her about it.  I told her I would and did and now I have to share it with you.

If you know me, you know apple desserts are my weakness.  They are so light and delicious and I absolutely love them. However, some of them are not light (although, still totally delicious!) and this is one of them.  But guess what?  I absolutely love it.  It is hearty and rich and the crust over the top is the perfect fit for an apple dessert.  Add a scoop of ice cream and you have got a dream dessert right in your hands.  This is the perfect dessert for a harvest potluck or Thanksgiving dinner. But, as always, it would be just as good any time of year.

My favorite part about this dessert is that it is made in the crock pot.  This means I can have apple caramel crumble cake for days, or at least share with another person.  It makes a hefty amount and I will definitely not judge if you do not share.  It is just simply not worth it with a dessert this good. Keep it to yourself, and I will not tell a soul.  Actually, maybe I’ll join you for some instead.  Anyway, I’m heading to the kitchen now to see how mine is doing.  If you can’t find me, I’ll be hiding in the pantry enjoying this all on my own before my husband gets home!

My husband has a thing with pasta.  At first, every time I would make spaghetti, he would stay away from it.  I could not, for the life of me, figure out why.  I would make it with chicken or meatballs or even pulled pork but he would not eat it.  I asked why but he always avoided it.  He would just always pull off the meat and enjoy that while leaving the spaghetti right where he found it.

Well, fast forward a few months and I was having a talk about it with his dad.  He mentioned in passing that he loved pasta.  And I told him I couldn’t figure out why he wouldn’t eat mine.  Well, it turns out he actually just hates spaghetti.  And any other difficult to eat pasta for that matter.  His favorite type to eat is penne.  I had no idea whatsoever.  I mean, it hadn’t even occurred to me. Well, now I make penne all the time, like this dish, and he devours it, pasta and all. It was a great thing to learn from his dad and now he even asks for pasta.  But I don’t even buy spaghetti anymore. Penne is the way to go in our home!

When we first got married, I asked my husband what he wanted me to cook on the daily.  I truly love to cook and wanted to make anything and everything he wanted.  my husband told me multiple times that he wanted me to make not only the foods we grew up on, but new and adventurous foods.  To us, that meant anything other than the fried plantains and black beans from our Cuban heritage.  We would be willing to try anything, especially if it wasn’t Cuban food.

As we got accustomed to married life, we tried new dish after new dish every single night.  Needless to say, we did gain a few pounds, but boy was it worth it.  One of the first meals we decided to make was chicken pot pie.  I knew it was a dish my parents ate often when we lived in Ohio and I wanted to make it here where it is uncommon to make.  We absolutely loved this dish.  I have made it in Pyrex dishes, in the crock pot and just regular meatloaf pans, but this, it is the absolute best version of the pot pie I have ever made.  It is so simple and easy and so full of flavor and fun because it’s not just the pie, but a soup!

I just love to eat that warm chocolate cake on a very cold day. Warm and sweet foods just make you feel happy and well relaxed. It is a great way for you to let yourself forget about the stress and worries. This chocolate cake is just so delicious. It gives you that sweet pleasure. I love eating it together with the people that I love.

I love to eat desserts especially every after meal. I like to bake this cake and have that opportunity to eat. I like to pack it and bring it at work for snacks. It is very convenient for me especially when I feel hungry, I can just eat on the go.

This is one of the favorite food that I like to bake in the oven. I learned how to cook it well because it’s one of the best dessert that my grandmother used to cook for me. Well as a kid I never forgot about how amazing it tasted like. I am happy that now I can cook it on my own. If you want to cook a very delicious chocolate cake then I would recommend for you to try this recipe.

Dessert is not only for kids but for adults as well! This cheesecake would be one of the best treats that you can get on a very busy day. If you are too exhausted and tired with your daily schedule and work you just have to reward yourself with something delicious and sweet to relieve yourself from stress.

I like to eat delicious dessert a lot, especially after meal. A Tiramisu Cheesecake would just be perfect for the whole family to enjoy. What makes this dessert really fantastic is that it is very easy to make and you no longer need to bake it.

Traditional Tiramisu has some alcohol content and it would not be safe for your kids. However, this recipe is alcohol free, so our children can enjoy eating your special dessert as well. If everyone is done eating, you can store it in the fridge and when you want to eat some at night or maybe the next day you can still enjoy it.

My kids just go crazy with this super easy to make side dish. Nowadays, it’s so hard to get your kids to eat vegetables. This recipe could save your day. You would be able to easily let your children eat their vegetable dish. Yes, you do not need to sweat with forcing them to eat their meals. My kids would be jumping around when I serve this dish.

I like to cook them this meal every week so that they can have their veggies at least once every week. It would be great for you to add this to your menu for your kids to enjoy. It is very fulfilling as a mom when your kids would enjoy eating their meals.

As a mom my kids are my priority so I want to make sure that I give them great food that they would love to eat. At times, they want me to pack it for their lunch in school. It is very easy to prepare and it is very easy to cook.
