The Holidays Just Wouldn’t Be The Same Without This Recipe
Tastes like a giant, gooey Rolo candy and it only takes about half an hour to whip up? That is the stuff dreams are made of! I actually had all these ingredients on hand and was so thrilled to find this recipe. I made them RIGHT AWAY.
It truly doesn’t get much better than this for a midnight snack, which is what I wanted. I realize it’s not the healthiest habit but there are just those moments that you need something sweet – no one can deny that!
I didn’t eat them all either, my kiddos were thrilled to see them out the next morning. I let them eat a couple for breakfast with a glass of milk. My daughter told me I make the best dessert ever, and my son said I made his morning. They happily went off to school with smiles on their faces and full bellies. Granted it’s not the healthiest breakfast but it’s okay every once in awhile.

What are these called?
Chocolate Caramel Bars
Where is the caramel?
From the butter and brown sugar you melt together.
The caramel is the melted brown sugar and butter!
What is the recipe?
For breakfast? I don’t think so…
Hmmm. it just says butter, but it sounds like the butter should be chilled and not soft if you are going t ouse 2 forks to make it crumbly.
If you sprinkled nuts —– I love walnuts but almonds or pecans would be good—–it would add some protein for a better “occasional” breakfast LOL And what would be wrong with toffee bars?
Why does it not say to bake the base before adding the caramel and chocolate. Do not follow this recipe. All others say to bake the base first.
Why is this last msg. on here without an explanation after the message ??? Now I am confused…..can you please comment ? It is your recipe and you should know how it’s suppose to be cooked !!!
