There are a couple times a year I host a big bash. 4th of July is one of them. Our homeowner’s association, like many others in this area, have a fireworks show. We live just a few blocks from the center of the action, so I like to invite my family over to enjoy the show. To celebrate, we start with a fun BBQ, where I like to find and try new recipes to share. This recipe was a total show stopper last year, so I wanted to share it with you so you can share it with your friends!
I think the best part about a 4th of July BBQ is serving up recipes that are red, white, and blue. Everything on our spread is some variation of the traditional USA colors, which makes the whole meal fun to look at, of course, and fun to taste. This dish doesn’t disappoint, and the aroma of the watermelon will really make you want to dive in!
